what used to happen to us when we misbehaved or did something really REALLY stupid ( like peeing from the balcony) when we were children ?

and technically, those radars are here to protect u, considering 90 % of accidents are speed related

I Would like to say one thing if your stupid and don't know how to speed THEN DONT SPEED UP i myself know exactly how to speed up no offense to anyone here im not talking to you but really the ones who do an accidents la samalhallah are usually amateurs/girls//teenagers .!.

Today i was driving at 100km/h all the time i wasn't watching the road i swear , i was watching the speedometer more than the road itself ***K our speed limits !!!

Usually, there are 10% margin of error with radars so with a 100km/h we should be able to do up to 110km/h without being caught.
But it's Lebanon... any idea how far over the speed limit can we go?

ill start with this info i got from my teacher between OUZE3I and ONESCO bridge the speed limit is 80 above 80 your busted pass it down everyone this is no joke

i have been visiting trapster since yesterday, and have not seen any update yet. i have put 2 locations for fixed cameras, the first next to hotel dieu, and the second in hazmiye. i know there are two 3a tari2 l naher. but i can't put the exact location.

Again, I would like to ask, how do you know if they are LIDARs or RADARs? as far as I know, they are "hidden" very well, haven't even seen any of the new ones on the road. Also, why can't I seem to find any information on the Web about Stationary-fixed speed cams using LIDAR? it's as if they don't exist :S

As for Trapster, Lebanon still lacks Alot of info... for example, on the Saida-Beirut Highway, there's no reported traps and alot of those locations reported are out of meaning :S

Not really.
I was able to spot more than 10 radars on the road between Batroun and Jounieh. On the highway, you can easily spot them.

Go and check trapster, then add some locations you know, and vote for existing ones.

example
its 80 allowed, you drive 85, and 2 weeks later you got a letter that you drove 95!

thats why a german judge now acquits all the accused drivers!

Any one has an idea what the radars look like ? I've noticed the spread of webcam shaped objects on top of traffic lights and over poles but that has to be to catch people who are running red lights because it's too small to be an effective radar.

I also saw an article showing that accident rate seem to be lower when there is NO speed limit. One possible explanation put forward, is that because of speed limit people feel obliged to accelerate to the limit. Eg if the speed limit on a road is 50, people tend to stick to 50 no matter what, whereas if there is no limit, the speed of cars will vary according to the road conditions, sometimes below 50 and sometimes above.
