turns out one of my aquantances wanted to sell his BRAND NEW N900 because his girlfriend wanted him to get a blackberry:P
so i am giving him my 8900 Curve BB + 120$
( please do not judge me :P i had it for 3 months, only to try it out :P i never even got the service i think its stupid :P )

EDIT:

please elaborate on the capabilities that you are referring to ..
@BashLogic
first , the OS is Meamo5 (linux based),means anything works for linux should work for your n900 (almost)
second , great device in terms of hardware, like 5mp camera, full qwerty keyboard, beautiful design
third , alot of applications and games
forth , bored of meamo5 ? you can get Android froyo and even the latest one gingerbread (Still got some bugs) , or u can wait for the upcoming OS Meego, you can even get Ubuntu 10 !!! and it works fast!
also you can read/wirte from any usb or external harddisk
in the end what is more geek to use terminal in a mobile device ? :P
and being able to hack PS3 ? and to be able to hack WEP passwords(i didn't try it yet )
and there is more to come,
Fair enough ?
"WEP passwords(i didn't try it yet )"
done, but i was standing VERY close to my router :P
@ Zusynoid-x
Hehehe, so is it worth trying ?
my passion for GNU/Linux systems makes the following statement expectable from me...
this is the most beautiful device I have ever handled

ps:
for anyone about to flame me after this, notice the "I"
I know u cant afford it but just for thoughts nokian8 is better. look it up in internet...sry im not that much of help

heh Nokia n8 is better ?
My friend bought it a month ago for 550$, because it sucks, he wants to sell it now for like 500$. The store asked 250$ for it.
It's slow, lags... and ofc it's symbian. The only thing good in it is the camera.

I'm not saying n900 is better but still n8 is not good.

N8 needs tones of updates.

i think you are coming down a bit harsh on the n8. in comparison to other symbians that are around, n8 does take the prize. the E7 will be a better version cause it will have a keyboard. as for symbian. well the symbian road map was planned years ago and has been re-planned after that (speeding things up). the true potential of symbian is when the ^4 version hits the market, unfortunately that wont happen for a while. the reason for that is cause of QT. nokia just changed the update policy so that in the future there wont be that many major updates, changes would come as small updates, in some cases might even perform major updates that way.

as for n900, n900 is very flexible but it serves none more than a proto platform for all the things that will be happening in the future mobile devices. N900 was never intended to be a niche product for trendy people but a development gadget for geeks. the sad story is that nokia killed maemo as it combined it with intel to form meego. meego will have three different version. each serving a different market segment. what the mobile meego would look like, who knows. will it be as flexible as maemo, I very much doubt that, so in short enjoy the n900 still while you can.

1st. youre harsh on the n8 because i have it and it dosent do anything that u said...porbably your friend did something to it.
2nd.n900 is just a waste of money.
3rd.best option would be the x6..5.0 mg and has great volume and sound tone
