I know this topic has been discussed endlessly and yes I've done my search online (and offline!) but eventually decided I'd just open this thread because the other ones have either been derailed or locked.

I'm in the search for an iPhone 4 16GB to buy, and you guessed it, I want it factory unlocked.

I've gathered a list of models online that only tell the country where the phone was supposed to be sold in but that alone does not give you a 100% guarantee that the device is not carrier-locked.

Are there any decent places one can buy the phone in Lebanon without being ripped off?

I'm not one to buy overpriced material and end up getting ripped off.

Do post if you know a place or someone that sells this Apple-sealed, factory unlocked and list the price if you know it.

Me and my friend are both looking for the same thing.

I might buy it off someone that has used it as long as they prove the phone is factory unlocked - this can be done by inserting my MTC card and having the iOS 4.1 active since there hasn't been any unlock released for it yet.

Yes he's legit, my friend got an HTC legend from him. He meets you and shows you the phone, you can test it, and decide if you want to keep it.
