it allow them to back up the games to the hdd so not copied game game on usb for sale
azife wroteit allow them to back up the games to the hdd so not copied game game on usb for sale
wait? if that means you need the original game to be able to back it up.. then what's the point of this? lol

i wonder if they can
1-Get original game
2-Back it up on HD using the USB
3-Burn the Game from HDD to an empty blu-ray disc
4- Copy, Sell
5-????
6-PROFIT!!!

but i guess that Ps3 wouldn't read a possibly copied-Disc eh?
I guess Sony are going to crack it down before it even reaches mass market. In addition, at a price of 150 USD, its kind of steep to get your PS3 hacked to play backed up games and lose your online functionality.

In addition, if you need an original game to back it up, then as Raficoo said: what's the point? Also, most of the games on the PS3 will ask you to update to the latest firmware to play the games. For example, say you're on 3.41 and you buy a new game that has been released recently, this game may ask you to update your firmware to the latest update (for example, 3.5) in order for you to play. You'll also be losing online functionality (a must if you play Call of Duty or any other shooter for that matter), game updates, DLC and of less importance trophy acquisitions. You'll also will be missing out on PS store games. Getting your console hacked for the mere fact of buying cheap games is useless in my opinion.

Hi man first of all you don't lose The online. And 2nd it's firmware upgradable meaning a couple of days after the firmware is out you have to update it and for the backups I just have to rent the game for 5$ and I'm done .
Www.psjailbrak.com sorry for typos Im on the iPhone
a friend of mine buys pirated blueray movies for $15!! they say its gonna get cheaper since blueray discs are getting cheaper
Sony will crack it , like they did with that old hack , also 150$ AND Installing games to the hardrive will cost a lot money , better off renting games.
Also , the usb will cost like 250 $ , especially if u get it from Ricca , like come on the old 360 is fo 500 $ i got the 250 gb for 450 $ from Nino(its now cheaper ) , this Pricing thing has to be solved in lebanon!
i ill buy it from an online store
I hope this doesn't work and fails bigtime especially here. For once lets keep it legit and buy our own games.
This so called jailbreak is a big theft.

some sony tech douch was sold out and he gave up basically what lets you bypass the bootcode of the PS3 and lets you run it in debug/service mode

it is basically exactly like the pandora for PSP

this USB lets you run unsigned code (the Backup Manager in this case)

It is still not practical for many reasons, first of you have to take out the plug from the PS3 first, have a disc always inside, and dump the games yourself (downloading is out of the question for obvious reasons here guys)

Ony true way sony can stop this is through a hardware revision, and yes of course system updates that can rewrite the bootcode (can be quite dangerous, same thing what nintendo tried to do to get rid of BooMii, they messed up some Wii's lol)

also this bears a high price tag, again i repeat its a theft, for the few that are interested wait on it and much cheaper solutions will evolve from this

Note before anyone asks: yes you will be banned and caught online and there is a high possibility that future games wont work

ALSO this is NOT a hoax.

Actually you don't have to buy the game to back it up, after a while NINO will start selling external HDD(1TB and above) packed with games that you can play....but...I hope this won't last long enough

You can't hack a machine that's connected to the internet. If the PS3 HAS been hacked, the hackers and their group of friends would not tell anyone about it and use it on a very small scale. Any "hack" that goes worldwide will instantly be picked up by Sony and a simply firmware upgrade could destroy the whole thing.
i think they can because look at the xbox 360 the only downfall of ps jailbreak is that is use the same blis code for all the games so sony can see who is using it they should make a simple program that changes the blis of the backup manger to that of the game your playing it will be impossible for them to ban and its legal to backup a game that you have legally bought
Hey guys, they did the jailbreak using Nokia N900, so if you or anyone from your friends have this phone you can crack it easily, check this link.

I like the "Arabic" forums and their "exclusive" content!
What's the definition of exclusive content in the arabic mind?
1- to be able to understand english
2- to browse an english forum
3- translate an article and post it in Arabic and here you go!

BTW, it has nothing to do with Nokia, I guess it's just an implementation of PSGroove
