Some kind of advertising... maybe newcomers will come :-) But not sure all for them good... maybe we will have boost of lebgeeks community. What everybody think about that?

Hey everyone, I would really love to be in the meeting but I have problem with time as it is related to my transportation problems. I will be able to make it any day of the week(except Sunday) after August 17, and any time between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M for the meeting is okay for me. My problem is with transportation from Beirut after 7:00 P.M.
In addition, I was talking last time with Jad, we had an idea maybe we can get a room at Berrytech(Mathaf) as it would be a nice environment there for us to discuss stuff ==> A.C. , White Boards, fast Wifi etc...
What I would personally prefer is some Saturday were most people don't have work(I guess), at someplace like Berrytech from morning till afternoon.

About iftar, if we agree on a time after iftar, we can go together have our chow and then meet up. (It's not really darbi lezme kil yom tinta3 sofra min hon la honeek la yikmal syemak ).
Anyway, I prefer having the meeting not over food or the restaurant itself, though we can discuss.

Just checked the doodle page and time is really a problem for the members living outside beirut or the ones not having a car for transportation :)
For larger participation,
1- Avoid time constraints (if the meeting starts at 6.30 PM - Do you really think that it'll end before 10.00 PM)
2- Location - This meeting is not like previous ones. Avoid coffee shops and malls as mentioned earlier (my guess that more than 50 members will attend this meeting) and pick a well known location.
With such a schedule, i'll not be able to attend too. Transportation is the reason. I currently live in Batroun, and i don't have a car.

guys, I just have to ask, how is it that every time meeting is put together, everyone starts defining what its criterias are? really, this is unbelievable! its like trying to plan a wedding event that fits 200 different peoples schedule and mood! KEEP IT SIMPLE AND USE THE SAME PLACE MORE THAN ONCE! #"#ยค%#"#"%& There will always be an event for some one where that persons aunties cat tripped crossing the road and hurt its ankle and because of that, the time and place does not fit that persons schedules.

Agree 100%, IMO a Saturday from noon till evening would be an awesome thing in a place like berry tech or root space, I am not sure if everyone agrees but it's just my opinion, in case we wanted something geeky for a large number of people. I think it has to be something special other than a cafe in the evening, after all it is done only once a year :)
