back to subject, found that out few days ago, simply cannot wait to see comparison between dx9 and dx11! :D

We don't even know what the patch's size is...second thing a game not developed from the ground up for DX11 will not have that many DX11 features and effects as a truly DX11 game...so I doubt the patch is gonna be big
Actually L.A. Noire for PC was a bit surprising, because I was expecting Rockstar to import the infamous Red Dead Redemption first. Still great news and hopefully they don't port it ala GTA4's way.

And about the Crysis 2 DX11 patch, it'll also have hi-res textures. I read somewhere the update is well over 5GB of data. Still, I could be wrong though.
@MegaCool: If it was a 5GB update then they should release the game specifically with DX11 support, or else it really throwing away the PC gamers in my opinion.

I was hearing some soundtracks from Warcraft III and it reminded of the old days when i was 12-13 years old. I remember being attached to the story especially to characters like Illidan and Arthas's storylines. I am just wondering when will we hear news about Warcraft IV, i read somewhere that Blizzard will announce something about it after the remaining SC2 expansions are released. Because WoW is being "milked" to the max and i dont want the main storyline to be forgotten.
Check this out: "Unearthed: the trail of Ibn Battuta".
For the first time ever, a Saudi Arabian company targets the PS3 for the development of a third-person action adventure game.
Well, first of all, I do encourage Arab developers to create games. But the game looks like a cheap clone version of uncharted, seriously. You have Nathan Drake with a beard....Chloe with a Hijab...And an old sidekick who looks like my grandpa. From what I've seen, the gameplay and graphics looks similar to Uncharted...Ok guys nice start, but, can you make the game a little more original?...I don't want the gaming world to start mocking us over this game if it doesn't turn out good.

I guess you meant Warcraft IV
The storyline evolved alot in WoW, you should read some of it on wowwiki so you can keep up with it. Though i prefer the main storyline of the previous RTS Warcraft games.
Yeah i read some but in an MMO i dont think a story matters this much rather than gameplay plus our high latency wouldnt allow us to enjoy raids which actually contribute to the story.
4 days later
WoW ruined it,im pretty sure they will NEVER make warcraft 4! loads more money out of wow and they wont risk wow subscribers playing warcraft 4 (since they can't sell as much monthly subscriptions to wow players for special servers etc)
and as for the patch they both are around 1200mb but WHAT THE HELL IS WITH 8GB RAM? quad core processor required??? 1.5 vram recommended??? that is insane!
kareem_nasser wroteCrysis rated for 360, PS3 Consolification phase two.
And how the heck is it supposed to run? On ugly settings?

Crysis needs lots and lots of memory, with the insane draw distance, advanced physics and sandbox nature. I'm not sure how will they manage squeeze all of this. IMO they should keep it till the release of next-gen consoles - Crysis is already a generation ahead on max settings.

I think we should stop this campaign against current generation consoles and corporation's strategies in the gaming world. Back in the PS2 days we always had bad ports and Xbox had better gfx because the gpu is much more powerful than the PS2's.
Most of us here are PS2 "loyalists" even the members who stopped gaming. That console wasn't about gfx and it won the war(think about the Wii now).
Even on PS2 there were crap games just like those days, but you will still find awesome games that will make you forget those retarded games.
ps2 did kill the market, but for me, the playstation 1 was something else...

I don't understand, what does this have anything to do with what I've said?

The PS2 is no doubt the best thing ever happened to the gaming industry, though remember the infamous emotion engine with promised Toy Story like graphics? (Kutaragi never fails to entertain me :D)

Yes, the PS2 had the weakest hardware among the two other competitors (Gamecube and Xbox) and still it crushed them, why? Because back then we didn't have to deal with the current FPS infection on consoles. The PS2 had the most extensive library of great games, and it needed neither Doom 3 nor Half-Life 2 to justify its victory.

The point is what’s made to take advantage of expensive PC hardware should remain there, why sell people a half assed product? It’s not just about visuals. Why would you play a game on crappy framerates, with ugly pop outs, lack of AA, screen tearing and downgraded gameplay experience? I know that because Crysis plays like shit on even some of the newer hardware.
I actually was not replying to you like personally rather to all other gamers in general. We all know that FPS games are the most demanding type of games on PC hardware. So developers should squeeze out whatever they can from a 5 year old console making a lot of sacrifices, but at least they should keep te core gameplay and story.
I personally am not a fan of AA maybe because i got used to the PlayStation and both previous consoles (PSone and PS2) lacked it. Knowing the reason behind Aliasing in the first place should make us think, why is it so much abundant on so many "HD" games.
Last generation i dont think i have experienced something called screen tearing, but now once you have this plague then V-Sync must be available on consoles so more pressure on the 5 year old hardware.

So that this conversation doesn't drag long all i can say is that those corporations forge the minds of consumers as they see fit, to their business.
kareem_nasser wroteSince CVG is a trusted source, i will share this related to PlayStation 4:

PlayStation 4 will feature Kinect-style controls, out 2012 - report
News about next-gen consoles is starting to spread like wild fire, and i am now starting to take them seriously.
it wouldn't have if nintendo hadn't made the nintendo wii u
for the first time ever, im thinking of getting a console, the nintendo wii u looks promising :)
Hell Yes...everyone should just release in 2012.
My personal analysis: It is most likely a PlayStation 3.5 even though Sony as usual didnt comment, but it is most likely to solve the flaws of the PS3. So expect more XDR RAM, and a Unified Shader Architecture from Nvidia because they are at a good relationship. More stream lined Operating System, that is capable of integrating the online and offline experiences into the system. The same CPU knowing that it was a huge joint investment between Toshiba Sony and IBM, maybe more PPEs and SPEs.
What most of us want to know is is the price, well expect it to be really close to Wii Us. I think knowing that the price is close to Wii U we know what Sony and Microsoft are up to in the "Transitional Generation"(i created this term) between 7th and 8th generation of home consoles.
