Lebanon is a small village compared to Europe or USA, they don't really care whether Lebanese can buy their games or not, it's as simple as that.
and that is why we buy the pirated ones...
First of all, who told you that? trust me if they don't want to support our "village" they won't just like PSNetowrk..etc
Also we are one of the leaders in the area in terms of online business, software development and technology fields in general(this is one of the main reasons why we should have a better internet by the way!)
euryale wrotewow what`s wrong with pirated software? i think it`s the best thing that happened on the internet! i still don`t understand why some of you people insist on feeding capitalism and our big enemy! let them rot and sink; i think everyone should use pirated software and chinese stuff (it`s just as good as the original and for cheaper so why not?) down down with the imperialist pigs!!!don`t be close minded and stop the hipocrisy.. the only way to beat the system is to let it starve!; people should fight for whats best for them not for company`s pockets! ps buying original copies won`t get u a good internet in lebanon
Well you can fight "imperialism" by supporting other products (chinese, open source...call it whatever you like!) but not by STEALING them! cuz by this you are just like them!
arithma wroteIt's a very sad truth, why are you so surprised?
If they want me to pay for the software, they're going to have to make me. Protection, security, encryption...
You may judge as much as you want, but the guy right next to me may have an edge over me just because they use pirated software. That's just for starters.
Ethics won't really do you any good.
It may be wrong, but it's the same as picking up 2000LL off the ground. There's no real consequence.
First of all, the guy next to you may have the edge probably cuz he is better than you! software is only a tool so don't make it an excuse.
And unfortunately, I do realize that this (sad truth) is how things work most of the time. :-)
But I decided to be ethical as much as I can, instead of going with the flow.
nuclearcat wroteAnd first fight - stop _USING_ non-free software and try to collaborate in opensource development.
Well, they are fighting it by using it and not pay! :-D
I really want to see what you will do if someone stole your business (stealing not competing!)
