But the isrealis didnt use to destroy any telecom infra structure at that time
They did. Tripoli, for example, was almost cut totally from media and telecommunication. All _legal_ links (and listen officially with locations) was bombed, and only who provided communications (and news for civilians) for Tripoli - so called "illegal" ISP's.
All "FCC certified" microwave/wireless links was down, i guess by jamming and using unofficial tricks that can bring down wireless communications (there is few technologies that supposed to be used as functions to avoid interference, but they can be easily exploited by US/Israeli militaries to bring down communications. And not only that.
I was writing about all that on telecom forums (at 2006 war i was in Leb, didn't left it and continued to support internet, had even extreme cases of going on motorcycle at night to fix failed hardware) and wrote article for russian telecom magazine, about all issues i face.
i think in next war all Og\ro services will stop so only satalite and illigale lines will have internet i have even heard people talking about isreal cutting our marine fiber lines so what will you use as backup plan for next war
Ogero doing their best to stop all satellite and illegal lines. At same time they don't give anything as replacement, they don't upgrade bandwidth for ISP's to decent level and they didn't make their fiber optic cables redundant. In fact now country extremely vulnerable and can be cut easily cut down from communications with world for long term, even without war. Just 1 month of telephone/internet outage and Lebanon will be on same level of economics as Zimbabwe, most of businesses dealing with export/import will be bankrupts.
Proof? Easy. Ogero gone many times down for hours, just because they have a lot of single points of failure this days.
So it is opening a question, why Ogero are weakening country infrastructure.
