i tried to flash my xbox about a year ago but the thing is i have lite-on drive and you need special tool i forgot the name of the tool more info xbox-scene to flash i tried to buy the tool but apparently it was 70 $ and only from ebay so i called nino :)
i tried to make a deal with him and sell me the tool but 100% he didnt accept he told me he only have 1 and he went to china to buy it imagine that what i think he was afraid if he did i would start my own business but my intention is keeping my xbox up2date firmwares so ya flashing your xbox means understanding the risk of being banned etc...
and ya i was banned because i didnt update my firmware that accepts wave 4 i was patching the dvd to make it wave 3 and going online it didnt last 1 week or 2
Nino can be very well i dunno, ignorant, the guy absolutely hates it when i talk all this tech talk with him
anyway what you were intending to say its a probe, that's what they are called
LT is only for Lite-On's anyway, i was able to pick up a cheap arcade, flashed it, then i recovered my gamertag.
btw wave patching games isnt what got us. team jungle flash (the guys behind the ixterme firmware) admits that firmwares 1.4-1.6 are now detectable and you will be banned on the spot for using them, LT doesn't even have checks on video partitions, it boots any discs, like i said it has less security checks in order to mimic the original firmware as close as pssobile. Im gonna see where this is going to go, i have this deep feeling im gonna get banned by the end of this year anyhow.
