open for small discussions, about games, news, and other random subjects.

i got new games today : Alien Vs Predators, Darkvoid, Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno.

all that cost me is 20$ plus i got Mass effect 2 on my pc
damn im buying all the games these, this gaming addiction of mine is growing bigger and bigger over the years .

and save your money for GOD of WAR III . i'll pay everything for that game

I've got Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2. These are the last two games I have bought.
Mass Effect 2 seems to be a nice game, haven't got the time to play it that much though.

Waiting for UFC 2010 & GOWIII.

about ufc who are you guys betting on for ufc 110? wanderlei or bisping imo wanderlei will crush him and nogueira too will be victorious, crocop 3

I'm with you on the Silva fight, but I'll have to contradict you on the Nogueira, imo Velasquez will take the fight.

back to topic, anyone knows what happened to the firmware they found letting hacked xbox 360 go online?

I dk i all i know is that i got banned but the new hacked firmware is safe again but beware logging in you risk being flagged form before .

I really thought that I'd be over the online thingy when I bought my 360, and hacked it.
Turns out it's one of the main joy of having one.

With this console generation, online gaming is very important and a major fun factor for a lot of games.
I'm not talking only about online multiplayer games, I'm also talking about the DLC options that we've been having this generation. Games like Fallout 3, Resident Evil 5 and Borderlands extend their playability for much less than the actual cost of a full game. Also, all the current generation consoles offer games that can be downloaded for relatively cheap prices.

And I think that all of this will continue on with the future generation of consoles. Having a hacked console does have its advantages chief among them is the cheap games; however, for me, a hacked console will eventually be caught online and one will lose all the fun of playing against real human beings (be they stupid or awesome players).

the online was good at live before i got banned, and i used to play bad company online, but i do enjoy the single player experience a lot and that's whats devs are forgetting to focus on.

anyways, since its a 360 thread, lets enjoy some of our exclusives here.
for Fable fans, the new Fable III was officially announce and the bad news for hardcore fans it won't be an RPG anymore. That's whats they have announced.
Splinter Cell fans (like myself) have to wait more the game as it was delayed once again for the same known reason : "Polishing" now hope to get it in April.

and who is waiting for the new HALO ?
i've seen some new gamplay leaked videos (forgot the site) and the game looking real good, awesome graphics and they are focusing this time on the offline campain which is good news , but what i've not liked is that the game is being made on 30FPS and sometimes when it gets intense it go down to 20FPS.

I cant wait for Fable III, I didnt hear thoug that isnt an RPG anymore. Alan Wake is apparrrently really good, and its an exclusive of course.

its the battle of exclusives between sony and microsoft
and they have a new exclusive coming this spring they have announced yesterday and it will be published my Konami called : Nighty-Nine Nights 2 aka N3II.
i dk about this game , looks shitty to me, cause i prefer hack n' slash to be more one-on-one rather than against large numbers

It looks good, Im a beat em all fan so this should be interesting. I think have the exclusives war won for 2010, with titles like Halo Reach, Fable III, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect 10... While the PS3 has only GO3 that I can think of.

don't forget heavy rain and FFIII sorta cause it sucks on the 360 with 3DVD's and no fhd movies and there is grad turismo 5

Forgot about Heavy Rain. FFXIII doesnt count though even thoug its better on the ps3. GT5 as well, but I think Forza is still better.

Long Story Short:

The hacked firmware used to flash drives i.e. ixtreme had certain "checks" on games

For example, it had to checks to check the data on disc, what video wave it is, split vid etc etc

if a game didnt pass these checks, then the hacked firmware wont let you laod the game (to keep you "safe")

This is all good and fine, but it seems that this hacked firmware was somewhat easily detectable because it was trying to be TOOO safe.

You see it turns out that whatever you do on your 360 gets recored to the NAND, and it seems that everytime your on Live microsoft were able to see what's going and detecting or the consoles that were being extra safe and flagging them. Then came halloween (which is the night of which the bannings started) and bam, all the flagged consoles were taken off.

So in other words, if you have ever been on Live with a modded console, then i suggest you never go on Live again

If you haven't been on live yet at all, make sure to flash to the new ixtreme firmware which is called LT (meaning Lite)

Ixtreme LT (apparently it has less checks and such, i have an xbox on live right now, running LT, no banning yet, and its been like a month) wouldn't be surprised if it gets banned though later this year.
