nuclearcat wrotejadberro - we need at least 20-50 activists who can grab people and act. First - letter of protest to ministry of telecommunications. Second - peaceful protests. Then they will listen. Most probably they will listen only when they will see protesters under their windows. Probably they will be enough smart to answer to official letters (that is numbered in their office). There is a lot of legal ways to reach them.
There is another vector of action - customer rights. We find way to force ISP's to provide what they promiss, and they will be clamped between customer rights protection and Ogero inefficiency, and will be forced also to find solution to improve Ogero. Only what we need for that - teach customers how to reveal ISP lies and how to sue ISP.
About the protests, an idea would be using another protest for cover and more media exposure.
If we are a 100 people protesting alone, we would be dismissed easily.
But Imagine this: let's say half the country is protesting ( we have to pick the right protest date and there are many) and we are part of the protest EXCEPT we have some demands that we are showing using signs and banners. The media would go nuts about it. Especially if the signs we are holding are straight to the point.
At the same time i dont think we would be disrespecting anyone with that move. We are part of the protest but with a twist.
About customers rights: In 2008, cyberia had brochures with " come and enjoy playing ps3 online with our dsl connection". Reading that i was impressed and naturally i got DSL with cyberia. The ps3 never worked, so i called customers rights and got to a fight with cyberia. It was settled by as long as the ps3 online service is not working i will not pay for the internet. I had free internet for 3 months. After that cyberia fixed their issues... I was finally able to connect. cyberia made their best to provide the minimum requirements for a ps3 to get online with maximum lag. so in a way i was able to connect but no joy. So i switched to ogero...
This is to say that customers rights will fight with you. And no company wants to acually fight with them. So it could be a good idea.
