Once you use DSLR cams you will never go back to the shitty compact ones. I owned an Olympus E-410 , this year i got the the Olympus E-620 ! awesome cams !
I had the opposite reaction. (and btw i know about f-stop, aperture and all that). I dont think ill buy a DSLR. The photos look amazing but its just too bulky to carry around, and I like to have a camera on me most of the time, because you never know when you will want to take a photo of something, right? So I'd probably end up taking most photos with my cell phone camera, like now. Which is not so bad!
The only thing that annoys me about small cameras is how bad they manage in low light.
But I saw some newer DSLR take video too, so that may make me reconsider.
Also samer's photos make me want to buy a cheap manual 35mm, and go around making photo sessions with that....
But I'm still waiting to know what film he uses. I'm sure Kodak Gold processed at the corner photo shop would not yield this result, unless he processes it in photoshop afterwards. Besides the operators in theses photo shop have the habit of changing the photo parameters, messing with your colors...
@GN90, I was interested in fujifilm cameras, for a while, they have tried different techonologies, and their cameras go up to 1600 iso or even 3200 sometimes.
I like Canon colors too, and Nikon DSLR colors. I dont like Lumix :) they are not designed from a photographer's point of view: unresponsive operation, low light sensitivity and not-so-great colors (IMHO)
