ok here it is :
photovoltaics
Photons in sunlight hit the solar panel and are absorbed by semiconducting materials, such as silicon.
Electrons (negatively charged) are knocked loose from their atoms, allowing them to flow through the material to produce electricity. Due to the special composition of solar cells, the electrons are only allowed to move in a single direction. The complementary positive charges that are also created (like bubbles) are called holes and flow in the direction opposite of the electrons in a silicon solar panel.

advantages are , low cost , easy production , long lifetime +- 20 years , low or zero maintenance
disadvantages are , the need of sunlight to function , need to be oriented to the sunlight and the automatic system to guide them is more expensive then the array it self
wind generators
A wind generator is a device that generates electrical power from wind energy.
Wind generators have traditionally been wind turbines, i.e. a propeller attached to an electric generator attached to appropriate electronics to attach it to the electrical grid

advantages : wind is present at all times , powerful
disadvantages : high cost of maintenance and fitting
fuel cells
A fuel cell is an electrochemical cell that produces electricity from a replenishable fuel tank. The electricity is generated through the reaction, triggered in the presence of an electrolyte, between the fuel (on the anode side) and an oxidant (on the cathode side). The reactants flow into the cell, and the reaction products flow out of it, while the electrolyte remains within it. Fuel cells can operate virtually continuously as long as the necessary flows are maintained.

advantages : cheap , hydrogen is abundant .....
disadvantages : dangerous , the need of hydrogen , the most complex opperation of them all
are these enough :P is there any other form you want to know about ?
