---()--()--- wroteFFXIII ... finally got to the "world map" part. Pretty disappointing, as this "world" map is a huge grindfest.

Thus far, I completed 15 out of the 64 optional missions.

If I don't get bored with the grinding / monotonous missions, I plan on getting a growth egg.
Get the growth egg as early as possible. When Vanille learns the Death spell, go to Ochu (the plant with the tentacles) in the special missions (you need a chocobo to get there) and put on the defender classes and have Vanille spam death until it connects. You'll then get the growth egg.

And trust me, it'll be much easier to level up your characters since some of the missions need your characters at max levels (even with that, you need some tech to defeat them)......

The only thing I enjoyed about the game is the battle system and optional missions. My gripe with the game is the stupid aweful story, lame characters and the stuff they left out from previous FFs (more optional missions, spells, real open world, etc.....)
I already got the chocobo.

Growth Egg's mission is number 55. All all previous missions pre-requisites ?
Nope. Some of the missions are prerequisites for mission 55. I found this guide to be ultra helpful in locating all the missions and a bit of fight techs.

I just killed him with an extremely weak party ( 4k-ish HP). Cast Aegisol and Fortisol before battle, and had a Vanille-Snow-Hope lineup on Sab/Sen/Med. When I get the lucky Death stroke (luckily, I already had the Marlboro Wand) on Ochu, I'd imperil all his minions, then spam Firaga. By the time the Aegisol and Fortisol lose their effect, I'd lost the haste advantage (Hope hasn't learned Haste yet .. like I said .. party was extremely weak) ... I brought in the Vanille Summon to clean them up.

An overall fun battle.

I hate grinding in JRPG's btw. Having underleved characters makes battles more fun, challenging, and makes you come up with creative ways to slay hardass bosses, instead of doing whatever they recommend in walkthroughs. :)

I have played the saboteur , its not bad , but just nothing amazing ,there are tons of better games out there, and it feels like an unfinished game , and a bit reptitive for me .

finished playing dragon age 2, assassins creed brotherhood and bulletstorm...now started playing shogun 2 total war
Playing Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King the PS2 game on PC in 1080p - my old PS2 died long ago and I'm kind of bored from modern games, so I decided to give this classic RPG a try and emulate it using pcsx2, and woah what a relief; really the quality on some of the older games will never be re-created by any developer anytime soon - especially with most gamers nowadays doing nothing but CoD and other mediocre shooters. Casual gaming kind of killed the innovation. Anyway gotta try and finish it as it's a 50+ hours of gameplay journey.

Thinking when have enough time in taking the dust off my old PS2 collection and re-play them back on PC with better graphics.
