I recently subscribed to the WISE ADSL Service, with a 512kbps Plan, and for the first few days everything was going so smoothly and the speed acceptable.
Usually, around 11:00 PM, I begin my extensive downloads and stop them around 6:00 AM, since I've been the whole winter without any Internet and I need to update my data.
Then after about a week, each night at exactly 11:00 PM, my Internet download speed slows down to 92kbps, the same as the upload speed, and the Facebook page for example doesn't just take lots of time to load, it doesn't even complete loading! The speed usually got back to normal at 2:00 AM.

I called the WISE Support Line the next day to ask about the problem, they said that the period between 11:00 PM and 2:00 AM is called the "Peek Time" where every person "metel 7adertak" (bi tari2a msemmeh) starts his downloads, therefore the speed slows down. How come I never experienced that the first week? :|

Has anyone ever experienced this with other ISPs?

This is the last thing I ever expected from WISE actually. I think THEY are limitting the speed because at IDM, the Peak time which you are talking about makes the speed at night go from 512k to 256k which is already your plan. I've never seen a dl speed lower than 30k/sec. Facebook is always fast and all.

Btw at first I wanted to subscribe at WISE but I did not see anything that says "Unlimited night traffic"..
I smell what they call FUP ( Fair Usage Policy )
Its peAk, not peek (peek means to spy or look in a discrete way).
Well regarding the support, eza 7ADRET el sherkeh, did not advertise free download and double speed, then not so many users would be downloading, besides, eza 7adreto Mr. the phone support engineer (Phd.) was honest or more informed, he would have known that there is probably a Fair Usage Policy that automatically put you in the heavy bandwidth users category because you downloaded too much, even though it was during "unlimited" time periods (note that I used quotes).
When you call this type of support, you might want to sound like someone who is very important.:|
According to Padre, in an old topic regarding WISE:
padre wrotenight traffic are not really unlimited :P above 5gb of night download, you start to get capped in speed :S you can even reach the amazing speed of 5K/s !!!! it's a simple Fair Usage Policy.

I will consider this issue as resolved hence the topic will be closed (PM if you want to appeal).

I did do my searching and I stumbled upon that post, but he was talking about the WISE Box, not the WISE ADSL service.

Anyway, I decreased my downloads at night, and after a couple of days, the speed at night got back to normal.

Youre welcome. Its nothing, I always take some time to correct people with spelling disabilities.
Although youre not quite there yet, dont despair, one day you might be able to speak eloquent English!
