Thats a weird career path. He starts as technical vice director and ends as a senior interconnexion expert. Being hired out of college directly in a managerial position also sounds like he has "connexions".

It is quite interesting actually that such a guy only has a Bachelor's degree... no Master's no PhD or even any kind of certificates that should be mandatory for someone in that position.

Man, he has a PhD in several subjects, I wrote them in my first post. Shortly said - getting bribes, doing nothing and getting paid from your (all of you who use Internet) pockets for this, bullshitting, finding excuses NOT TO
work on improving country's Internet situation. And come on, the guy is great in all this, even if he doesn't

All I saw are accusations of corruption and disturbing sexual metaphors. I don't know the guy, but from what I've read, he doesn't seem to have the experience required for the job. This does not make him a corrupt person. Hence, I asked for further evidence in order to make your accusations more credible vis-à-vis the community.

I completely agree with samer, I never heard of that guy and it seems that he does not deserve the position he is into, but I am not very sure about the corrupt things he may be doing,

1. I just can't judge on someone I don't know :P

2. I didn't read any documents related to his corruptible attitude in his work and position.

3. Yet the issue of being hired right after college into a managerial or administrative position on the level of the country sounds fishy and that's what makes me suspicious about him.

Anyways, I do understand your point teodorgeorgiev, actually there are many people like that guy and even worse in many other fields other than IT in Lebanon, it is our right to stand against the gluttons who steal our money and provide poor services all the time, many people like him don't even bother to work for making things better in this country they just exploit their position that they already obtained through connections ;)

Some more details and documents to share about the "claimed" yet very possible corruptive acts of that guy would be appreciated :)

unless theo can give more concrete issues as what is wrong in this picture. this thread is better of by being removed than flaming people or having the forum face sanctions based on incorrect or insufficient claims.

I skimmed the Interconnection Regulation and I dont support micro-managing the sector like they do. How is Lebanon going to keep up with techonolgy if you have to check out 20 laws, 30 procedures and get the approval of the TRA everytime you want to lay a cable. (OK Im exagerating but you get the picture).
One thing that shocked me was the interconnexion obligation, ISPs must agree on it when a request is received within 90 days otherwise the TRA will set the conditions of the agreement... So I figured Ogero being a market player, it actually enables them to require interconnexion with an ISP, then if no agreement is reached, the TRA will set the conditions? How ridiculous is that.
It does say at the end of the page though that the service provider must provide interconnexion at the same rate to all requests.
Anyway all these are things that should be left to the law of supply and demand.

Forget his CV and wether or not he has a PhD. I have been working as a manager of the Internet department in the Ministry of Finances, and later as a manager of the voice services department in a major telecom here without having any university degree (I have only a high-school diploma).

Let me give you a hint, cause I won't hurt my fingers, just cause someone is lazy to calculate 2+2:

The guy has been working 15 years on a high-level "decision maker" position in Ogero/TRA. He had enough power to propose solutions, to argue the wrong ones, to improve, to regulate and so on. Now, look at the Internet situation in Lebanon and compare. 2+2 = ?

he is one of the key decision maker about internet.. and describing internet situation as in "bad state"or "shitty" doesn't give it any justice.. we are way down and beyond anything acceptable when it comes to services/prices.

so this person has been in charge for 15 years.... and things are still the same.. regardless of how honest he is... don't you think he should quit... he is an employee for "us".. isn't there any performance control ? how is he protecting his job and position ?

In any country or company with self respect.. if someone doesn't achieve basic goals he is removed from his position.. so how come this person is still there ? the least u can say is that he is incompetent and should be fired for failing at his job and making this country drag in shit for 15 years.
