I have today installed a new type of broadband connection, it required me to connect for it using a username and password. It's called WAN Miniport (PPPoE).

The thing is I have a laptop and I want to share connection with it. I have 2 netword cards, 1 card used for the PPPeE connection & the other having a cross-over cable connected to the laptop, I used this method of connection sharing with my old connection and it was working nice, is there a way to share my new connection to the laptop?

Well, I'd say getting a router and opening the connection from it would be a simple configuration. Therefore you can just use it however you like.

I am not too sure about the method of having your PC being host/client at the same time. I haven't used this to be honest but maybe someone can shed a light on that matter.

If you want a quite easy solution - install a proxy on the PC (like Privoxy or something easy).

Then on the laptop you have to configure all the services (browser, MSN, ICQ, Skype) to go through this proxy/socks.

Or, you have to configure NAT (that is the way it should be) on the PC. And here comes a question - your OS is ?
