I think Command and Conquer: Generals left an impression.
It was the 1st real 3d startegy game. Before that, strategy games were ugly.
I dont like Half-Life, I prefer Medal of Honor, with its submersive maps and ambience. Yet Counter strike was a pionneer of the genre i think. Of course, before that there was Quake, but its a slightly different style.
Milestone 3PS are Castle Frankenstein, followed by the much improved Doom (i used to have cold sweats when playing that)
Of course the Pacman and I remember Supaplex (nice music!)...
There was a game called testdrive, I think it was the ancestor of Need for Speed.
MS Flight Simulator was the first of its kind, I think, although it looked like crap.
And there are the console games too. Supermario will go down in video games history, so will Tetris (best time killer ever), and maybe Sonic.
I fell like I have forgotten something...
Anyone remember Larrys Quest by the way? :D

As for me, I think Call of Duty 4 is one of the best games. The other one would be Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I am very into it now, and it teaches a lot about the real things. Hopefully I will get my pilot license one day!
My advice is make money and get real flying lessons!
Flight simulator is good for practicing navigation skills between one real flight and another. If you dont really fly you might forget these skills.
As for manipulating the controls, you wont remember much of your FS sessions when you will be handled the stick in a real, flying airplane!

Best video ever made? Simple: Counter Strike Source. No close competitor. Ok WOW3+DOTA is a nice game, but nothing beats the competition of Counter Strike. the addiction level of CS is extremely high. pls dont lie about the times where we played CS in year 2004 with alarming rates. heck computer network places were full of CS players. this game can never be bored from.

My one of the favorite game is Call of duty which I play every day, the game is totally about the Mission all the characters all made amazing and graphics is a attractive issues of the game.

For me its Total annihilation, an awesome RTS game and very revolutionary.

I think The greatest games ever were the old Dos Games :cool:.. no matter how attractive new games are and sophisticated and real.. i have a thing for those Dos Games.. even though i like the likes of Hitman, Max Payne and many other.. my favorites are without doubt a lot older..
Games like SUPAPLEX, PUSHOVER, PRINCE OF PERSIA 2 were great to play, to discover, no cheats back then just you and ur brain:P... another Game that I Love and played a lot was HERETICS.. too bad they did not finish it though..There should be a way to make these games more common to the new generations..One Game specifically that i don't think any game can top was GOBLINS.. any one played that game?? i used to spend hours and hours trying to figure out how to solve each level.. i used to think about it when i was in class.. when i woke up lol.. i kinda was obsessed tryin to solve it :D.. those are the games that came to my mind now.. i'm sure there are more..

Any of you played a game called CISCO?? it was a car racing game.. i cannot find it anywhere... some time ago i found it in a Portuguese verison:P but couldn't make it work lol any help to find it would be appreciated :D

i can't choose one single game. in fact none of you can...
there'll always be a long list of preferred games. and for me the list starts by Terminator Salvation and X-Men Origins Wolverine [uncaged edition]... Passes by The Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare [I Hate the 5th Edition: World at War], Counter Strike [any version], Left 4 Dead, Command & Conquer : Generals Zero Hour, Red Alert 2, The Frozen Throne, The Need for Speed Collection , Commandos 3 and 4, etc...
I Just Love To Play Games... But Here in Lebanon we don't really appreciate the importance of these games since we can buy any game we want [ All Versions :P ] for 1000 L.L ;)

There was a cheat in Prince, some command line option that lets you skip levels.

I remembre stunts it was a car game in the 90ies where you could create your own tracks, with jumps, elevated bends, loopings, sections of ice or sand, etc.
Too bad they never did such a game again.

this is a tricky question most of WoW player will certainly say WoW. since im not a WoW fan, im like more action, adventure, shooter fan.
i think that half-life is an epic game, splinter cell double agent was a new experience (hope conviction will be same), and batman was simply awesome !
but the game i adore the most and still repeating it is sonic the hedgehog the Sega version !
