(evil...)
Its weird everytime I see RC i think Rally Car... (as in Peugeot 206 RC)...
Now let me find a connection that will let me download the gazillion bytes before that thing actually expires...

Haha, I believe this time microsoft made it. At least the OS is not slow as hell. Vista was a complete failure.rolf wroteWhat manual? I tried the 7000 build, it was awsome compared to vista in term of speed, crash etc.
I've read a bit of reviews here and there, and people are finding windows 7 a real treat :) I'm still downloading for now, but just a small remark concerning this RC:
It is activated till june 2010, but starting March 2010 it will reboot every 2 hours (of course there will be a crack... but still). Non-official sources states that windows 7 final version will be out around october (end of 4th quarter..)

( as developper it is important for backward compatibility stuff... so i would appreciate any tips on the topic )

Installation done.
Nicely finished, there is now a level of user access (you know the thing that keep buzzing everytime you try to do something on windows vista) now there are 4 levels of security.
I can access the old windows files (on other build of windows 7 you couldn't do that, it just would see its partition as C: and no other partition were to be found).
It has some nice customization you can do, did not try everything yet.. I guess I'll be using it instead of vista for now (since I can access everything from vista here).
Will keep you posted.
@mir: for the vmwared xp, you can find it only in business and enterprise version of windows 7 (if i recall well), it is made for the enterprise who do not which to migrate directly to windows 7, they do it step by step by integrating the windows 7 with xp vmwared for their employee etc..

well it is neat to have the seamless virtualization of all the 3 different OSes at teh same time
a ubuntu, an OSX a vista... all in one boot.. seamlessly virtualized.. that is you don't have to boot each machine alone.
it is doable cuz hdd size is no longer a problem and with the RAM power you got it would be cool.
like this when doing the office work you use windows for your work or play there
when doing graph design, multimedia task and such OSX ... then scripting, managing stuff and such for linux
all in one :P
you just need someone to Need the 3 OSes at the same time ( i donno if u got me, but i will be looking into this :P )
