Oh yeah when I used to use VISP I had that same exact problem...else I can't see why a router wouldn't at least supply a net connection over ethernet, if and only if the WAN configuration is set correctly, which is:
1) type: PPPoE
2) MAC Address: allowed (clone)
3) Username & Password (and router is automatically connecting or manual connectivity by pressing connect)
4) Ethernet cable is working, which can be verified by other router
Also:
5) DHCP is on (by default, of course)
6) PC does not have a static IP set (obtain automatically from router, also no gateway set)
Cullinan, you need to make sure of these. I may have forgotten a few things, too.
