@nuclearcat & @md2k:
I was given no username.
- I have a router that connects to the gateway 80.83.25.141, which maps to ns1.visp.net.lb
- I signed a contract in VISP's offices in Center Cebaco in Dora, second floor. That's the address I was given by a sales guy on the phone, and it matches the address on your website.
- I have a receipt voucher for the first downpayement with VISP's logo all over it (I can scan it and post it if need)
- I transfer money each month to an account that is held by VISP.
I am definitely *not* going through a reseller. So unless your sales guy does a little reselling job on your backs, right in your offices, don't state that each VISP customer should have a username as if it is a fact, as it is obviously not.
Our connection is still horrid. Please do something. I really don't want to go to Ogero (this is not a threat, I REALLY don't want to go to Ogero).
i was talking to my father about this today , i'm really about to go to DSL.. it's be horrible since beginning of the month and nothing seems to get better even 1% ... come on guys you are the only *unlimited* legal option in this country , i really don't want to go to DSL and keep calculating what i can use and what i can't to avoid gigantic bills at the end of the month...bad things and technical issues happen to all ISPs , but it's the 28th day and god knows until when it's going like this .. no offense that's not professional at all

I will check it tomorrow more closely and will tell you back, what is possible to do.
Packet Loss still above 75% for me. I'm a broadband user.
Xannax, i just monitor account few times, you have torrents running 24/24, and bandwidth is constantly full.
Do you expect good quality while you use your bandwidth 100%?
Online gaming has been really playable since 2-3 days. I hope it keeps up.

it's been crap since beginning on the month , i can't even think to play some PVP or instances before 3am in the morning where the whole country is asleep , yesterday it was playable sine 1am with no spikes so i was more happy... i'm going to try now and report..

EDIT : logged , played for 30 minutes , it was ok 400 500ms .. 400 ms mostly , let's see when we move towards 6pm what will happen..
Saturday was really no internet. Sunday a bit better. Yesterday was ok.

Torrents are scheduled to run after 12pm until 10am (and weekends). We don't use them during the day. We absolutely don't have them running 24/24. We also tried stopping the torrents totally for a few days to see if it did change anything (it didn't).
I should note out that I was promised "real" unlimited and not "fair usage" unlimited, so torrents at night should not impact bandwidth during the day.
Furthermore, I often work at night, in which cases I turn off the PC we use for torrents. I can't count the number of times where I am alone in the office, just my pc connected, just firefox open (nothing else), and not a shred of connection available, not being able to check emails or send a file.
I have recorded accounts and screenshots of me pinging google at 3am without any pingback, when there is only me, the linux prompt, and the router. Nothing else (I have sent this report to support@visp.net.lb to which they answered absolutely nothing, total silence...four different times). In fact I have a whole folder of pinging screenshots, from different PCs, pinging different servers, in different contexts, at different times, running for hours with no answer.
The router is protected with a password and the log shows no suspicious activity of any sort, so I don't think anyone is stealing our bandwidth (and I pity the person who would).
[edit] just for info, I should point out that today is ok (and that mainly the last few days it has been a bit better, I am even able to do a google image search).
No FUP there.

I modify some settings there, let me know if things improved.
Note, i can see your bandwidth consumption always close to maximum. I recommend you to run QoS, especially for upload, since if you hit the limit, sure it will make things bad (latency especially).
Your bandwidth is constantly full. Try to manage it (QoS), otherwise sure it will be bad latency.
I must say that (very) often, internet was not working although I was alone, bandwidth completely free. As I said, me and a linux prompt, pinging,
nothing else. But that was one or two months ago so I am willing to try to limit uploads if it might be a solution.
But...If my router is a WHR-G300N that doesn't do QoS, is there a solution? Since it's the office's router and not mine, I am not really willing to put a custom firmware on it.
(have anyone tried to put tomato on it? is there a possibility to brick it?)
VISP's bad quality is too much for me. I'm canceling my 1Mbps VISP's connexion next month. I'll take a random satellite provider...even if ping is higher.
After 4-5 days of completely playable online gaming .. pings/latencies are back to being crappy with a lot of spikes.
Yup, just got back home. Every minute or so, internet stops for ~10 seconds. major packet loss.

Edit: much better now
i though FUP starts at 6pm until 3am ... yea i download the WoW patch yesterday and that was a nightmare..anyway i was playing since noon and everything was smooth 300 400ms , when it hit 5 o'clock sharp , latency grew to 2k ms and it is no way close to playable anymore :\
pretty bad at the moment.
ping 172.16.41.1 -c 2
PING 172.16.41.1 (172.16.41.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 172.16.41.1: icmp_req=1 ttl=64 time=2666 ms
64 bytes from 172.16.41.1: icmp_req=2 ttl=64 time=1881 ms

that's the ptp address.. so internal.
