there is bandwidth limitation, it wont cost you extra but if you download too much they decrease your connection speed

shant, ping is connection quality. it could be due to network congestion. It's not directly related to connection speed.

if you are talking about FUP , im very far from being FUP'ed , anyway it's a bit better now , game can be played with 5 man instances , big battlegrounds and raids won't work yet

nuclearcat , i talked to my reseller today , he told me about the new features being implemented ( the ones you told us about for gaming etc ) , i asked they are not here now , he answered that he is waiting for you guys to deliver some sort of equipment and install them something like that , is that true ? i want to know if he is saying the truth or not , because honestly i don't trust him alot..

EDIT : working alright during the day ( playable ) , complete crap right now

Dear God, I can't take this anymore...A couple of weeks ago, I could play on my PS3 just fine, but now I can't even play any single game online, and the server keeps timing out.
I understand when you say you cannot make the connection better Walla...But why...Oh...Why does our connection keep getting worse?
My Ping used to be between 250 and 350...Fine. But now it's 600+ms...I can't believe I'm paying 90$ for this.

the thing is congestion and pressure on link , ok i understand that the whole lebanese network is overused anyway , but the thing i cannot understand is tuesday 31th of may i played until the early morning with ( you won't believe it ) a stable 120ms ! it has been that good since many months ago only some down moments where everything gets back to normal in about 2 3 hours maximum , i turned off my pc wednesday 4:30am very satisfied and happy i don't have to move to another ISP , woke up wednesday 3 the afternoon and that was it , 13k ms almost all the time i can't even move an inch and since then only improved a little bit where latency is 1 1.2k , so at least i can do my daily quests , it's not the pressure problem that caused all this nobody is that naive to believe that in 12 hours the number of users on VISP link here increased 10000000000000% to the point that connection became at this poor quality and unusable for half of the day.. ( i woke up today at 9am i had finals , so i had a little time to check some stuff online , i logged into the game by curiosity at 9 am and latency was 800ms , where's the pressure now ? where's the pressure on link at 4am where everybody is sleeping ? )

Nope. Beirut, and directly from VISP, without resellers.

Same here. directly from visp. the last few days, terrible latency after 5PM. it was a lot better last month.

just thought about sharing this picture with you guys to show how bad things are here at the moment :

this is actually 5 minutes after waiting at the loading screen , it stabilized at 4k and never got under that..as for home ms it grew to 1k+..

EDIT : It's been 5 days , is anyone even trying to fix something ?

People, no offense here, but seriously open your eyes, Lebanese Internet sucks, VISP sucks (I'm sure nuclearcat knows that but he wont say it),. So, less nagging, and deal with it.

i remember being with VISP for 2 and a half years ... i was taking from a reseller and i swear that out of those 2 and a half years i only had internet for a max of 1 and half years ... the service was bad, the support was worse, yet nuclearcat here on the forums and back on IRC did help me sometimes.

what i have done now is simply switch to DSL .. and i luckily have a university where i can leech all the downloads i want

im just saying this coming from a previously "loyal" customer of VISP .. im pretty sure you have probably been with them more than i have maybe, but im just saying it was NEVER good.

It's not nagging. I'm not whining or saying stuff like 'you suck. give me back my money'. On the contrary, I try to post useful information like traceroutes, the location of the game server I'm trying to connect to, which hours outages happen, whether I spoke to phone support or not, etc.. and if they helped or not.

Some lag spikes now.

couldn't have said it better myself..

latency ingame maximum 500ms , very few spikes but i can't do anything "crowded"like 15 vs 15 BGs , at least some improvement and hope it will be kept going for the better..

Based on that info already i am taking some steps on that.
Today/tomorrow i am moving to new server, there will be also better QoS done.
After few days i will finish tunnel also, so local ISP's wont interfere with our traffic.
There is some nice things coming for youtube.
I set monitoring for local links and sending daily reports to wireless team about network performance status.
And etc...
Well, still international far from perfect, and i cannot yet personalise connection and make some gaming mode, but i am moving forward to it. Since is it not single task i am doing, things moving slow :-(
