It depends on the game. If it is a First Person Shooter, you need at least sub 200ms. 400ms is good for RTS games like Warcraft 3.

Remember, consistency is the key. this guy that works at VISP is pretending to fix things when he is actually experimenting because he lacks qualifications and experience.

Don't ever say it works until it is consistent.

P.S. Someone smart enough will notice, that hussam wrote _server latency_, and not ICMP latency. It matters, since TCP/IP stack can add 50-100ms in some cases.

Stop hiding behind your filty mouth. You have been selling users fault promises since day one. New features are coming, new improvements, bla bla. All I saw is a stupid FUP policy that is implemented to compromise users, lots of proxy caching errors, Https issues, to name few.

I just tested Garena, and there's lots of spikes. Could be because of the peak time, though.

For everyone that is being a critic to nuclearcat , i don't know the man , never met him , don't know what are his qualifications etc , but i know one thing that from my point of view , someone that works with an ISP actually cares to spend time listening to us here and trying to fix a problem , i don't care if my latency is perfect , i care about playability and trust me i do a very well job in WoW ,and for the time being nuclear is doing a good job , we should thank him for his dedication not the opposite , when was the last time a guy from another ISP listened to users and tried to fix an issue around here ? never...

Care to ask yourself if the issues you were experiencing have been resolved permanently ? Aren't you experiencing irritating issues from time to time that limits your productivity if you highly depend on the internet to get things done.

This is the issue in most lebanese people, losing cristisim over 'Yalla' it is working now and it doesn't matter if it fails many times a day.

You guys are being compromised.

But, in general, Dark angel is right. The Lebanese people have grown accustomed to the fact that "as long as it works... yalla meshe el 7al".

What about our rights as paying customers and educated individuals for a better technology in this country ? Why would other nearby countries have better services when we have to suffer from Internet connection unstability, very high latency and extremely limited monthly download/upload volume ?

Stop accepting what "barely works" and start asking for the best.

This is constructive cristicism in a respectful manner! I tried IDM, Sodetel, Cyberia, Ogero, Wise and VISP with different locations and packages, NONE of them had a quality internet. It's a shame that we pay for a 512kbs package and we reach tops 380kbps. When you call support they say it is a shared connection. Step 1 before enabling faster packages is to manage dedicated connections to customers with a reliable and quality bandwidth/ping/etc...

ISPs are the ones that should take action. I know many VISP users and most of them are there for their gaming servers ONLY!!!!

There is no law for local distribution network, even conservative Saudi Arabia FAR much evolved in laws and openness.
Who elect such politics? You understand now who you have to blame?

This clearly answer my point of view.

If things are out of your control (ISPs) why would you waste your time and ours by making simple hacks that only works for a while and fails for the most part of the time.

Plus, VISP already has a Control Panel for its customers to report issues. Why would you create a thread for VISP here ?
