it's working now , just some weird lag spikes for no apparent reasons , the thing i can't figure out that every now and then , what the hell happens ! the latency craps out only on raiding weekends ... my luck !! and i hope it stays like this just had 450 ms :)

Real IP? I'm having problems with real IP on visp. it gets laggy sometimes for no reason.
Did Visp discontinue online support? I haven't seen online support online for a few months.
Any other way to contact them? I only have a cell phone so I can't talk much. Do they have an email?

no man im not on real ip , im using a regular 256k plan , and my friends use the same plan from VISP here and we're all having the same problem..

Ok, this will probably put me in hot water with VISP but here goes. the connection was working really nicely all last week. then suddenly on saturday (I think) at early evening 5 second outage. After that online gaming is low priority QoS again. I'm starting to think that there are no real problems. They intentionally throttle online gaming sometimes.
When game ping = icmp ping for a few days then suddenly game ping becomes 1000+ms and icmp ping stays 325ms, that's definitely QoS throttling us.
Honestly, why?

No online support, no replying to support tickets....shame really.
shame ? completly unproffesional ! very respected company really !! throttle online gaming latency yea , login with 200 ms and get disconnected then login with 1000 ms , wonder why ? wow god is mysterious !! everytime i get such low latency i get disconnected " an outage " , who are they lying to ? the whole area here is unsatisfied and everyday more and more people are leaving VISP to go for DSL , they happy ? whole area not just me me :)

I can't get DSL because I don't have a land phone line. What I will most likely do is get a local cable connection at the first of the month. My neighbor is using it. latency is always under 200ms.

Noone is dying, and numbers in billing shows opposite, some upgrades coming (ppl working already on it).

I called them a while ago, they have a home unlimited for 77$ - 256k i think which is actually limited to how much you download per day and users are classified, between heavy users, if you download more than someGB per day you will get a limited connection.

Not a company. Some cable guy who gets a connection from Terra. No QoS or any crap like that so game latency will be equal to icmp latency. Not sure how legal that is but if things don't improve here, it's an open option :)

I get 256k for 35 USD directly from VISP too but if it increases to 110USD all of a sudden, then no thank you hehe.

Ok, just spoke to visp. the links were a mistake. they prices are still the same for home users.
Can something be done about QoS?
ingame: Server latency: 2131 ms
icmp: 331ms
I spoke to visp online support yesterday morning. they said talk to us again when problem happens during the evening. then online support is offline since yesterday noon.
with the electricty problems, now I only get a usable connection from 3PM to 6PM everyday. So only three hours of internet per day....

It's getting worse. today by 3PM, nothing... Shouldn't "peek time" start at six?
peek time for us in lebanon , at least VISP users in the past 2 weeks almost is from 12am to 11:59 pm !!

what hell is wrong with VISP these couple of days ?? internet is no more usable ! especially from 5-6PM until 1:30 am ! download speed ranging from 400 bytes/sec to 6kb/s in it's best cases , browsing is very slow , gaming is completly impossible sometimes unable to even log in the game ! anyone is experiencing such bad problems ?
