well i know these past months its been crap , latency used to be like once every 2 days on 180 ms , now im praying for the gods to see the 500ms for like 1 minute and then increasing like hell...im thinking about seeing another isp , wich one is currently best for online gaming ? other than ogero ?

sodetel with their fixed ip (gaming package) seems to be the other best recommended for gaming.

It is more outages... electricity, interference, etc. For gaming internet is almost unacceptable due this short glitches, but for everything else it should be more than ok. Got new business customers switched to us, and they are pretty happy.

Ah ok, electricity. I hope they improve the electricity situation in Lebanon soon.

Except electricity there is heat problems too, and few other things. Going to solve most of them in 1-2 month max.
But cause of that i had to switch also to hardware development :-D

so that sodetel gaming package , lets say a 256k with fixed ip , how much is it gonna cost me per month ? and whats the regular latency ill get ? w if without a fixed ip , will it provide with better latency than VISP ?

Just a note. business users use the connection till what? 4 or 5PM? that's before the huge lags and browsing timeouts start.

hussam - mostly, but some use after. Most probably it is a issue on your basestation. There is a lot of maintenance planned soon, so i hope situation can be improved.
P.S. In some areas other providers jamming our frequencies. Intentionally or by "high power low quality chinese equipment" - it is a fact.
Seems i will go personally next week with spectrum analyser and will throw their asses when will find this equipment.

There's something broken at the moment, right? ping keeps fluctuating between 400 and 2400ms.

Can something be done about the latency? it deteriorated badly the last few days.
12:28 AM now and latency won't go below 7000ms. Anything broken?

staying logged into msn or jabber for over ~5 minutes is almost impossible (12:41 AM now).

if I ping 2.2.2.10 (dns from /etc/resolv.conf), I get 3.86 ms to 8.41 ms ping which is perfect so it's not an issue on my side.

7577 ms ping (lowest) now non-http.

Nuclearcat, can you please reply before the end of the month and let me know if this can be fixed before I renew my subscription? It was at least usable last week.

What I tried the other day was measuring my ping with speedtest.net using a mobi and then re-did it, but this time I used ultravpn, which seemed to decrease the delay. I didnt quite get why did this happen, Ill be posting pics later to see if it happens again.

First test using my regular unmodified connection with mobi

Now using my mobi with ultravpn

there is a decrease of around 300ms on average.

Today i will try to work hard to see reasons of increased latency.
Yesterday there was storm on teleport and bandwidth was temporary reduced, thats caused high latency.
Today i will make automatic adjustment of QoS during such things

if it didnt cut any important cables and was just mere interference it should be okay after the storm passes.

Yes, in Germany.
Tonight should be fine. I am monitoring ping now, and will do permanent fixes at 1-2am.
