Anyone on visp having severe problems with connection tonight? I came back home at 10:00 PM (although PC was on since 6PM) and browsing is dead. Still dead now at 11:17PM

Online gaming is bad too. it won't go lower than 1200 ms ping

I spoke to online support and they said they can't help. I don't understand. no ISP on earth has 1000+ ms ping.

Regarding gaming - most probably local issues. There is no problems on backbones at all.

nuclearcat, I pinged the dns 2.2. something. (got the number from /etc/resolve.conf)
6 to 7ms only even with huge lags.

so even with 1000ms to google, i could still ping visp dns for 7ms

Actually i notice spike on time when i receive message.
The bad news, all ISP's is full, and Ogero not giving them upgrade. So spikes probably is from upstream ISP's, and there is not much i can do about it

Not spikes here. at the moment, it's constantly high 3105 ms and won't go below 2000ms.

looks like it lags heavily for ~10 minutes then lag stops for a few minutes then it gets laggy again.

Should I go back to fake IP? will it help?

I removed the real IP to see if this helps.

I went back to fake IP. lag stopped. but I'm getting 5 minute long random full outages.

nuclearcat, why some lines have *? is that a timeout?

It is a hops who is filtered out... usually they have fake ip's, and ISP's there not passing reply packets.
Ocassional asterisks - yes, seems timeout.
Our current uplink ISP is crap. I cannot name them, but or them or DSP is crapping a lot and ignoring our complaints.

last.fm is working on visp connection :) I was under the impression it wasn't free outside the US.

Why on earth do i have 14250ms ping latency on cod4 servers, and even browsing is awful? anyone from visp have that extreme lag, visp should win the world record number in ping times.

ohhhh if someone in this universe is lagging on WOW EU servers , that would be me :D a proud owner of a VISP connection WICH should be a 256k,its been a week now my latency doesnt get below 1200ms in its best condition,im sick of this im sick of this country!!the minor tiny everyday needs we can't get ! like watching a freakin movie without the channel freezing 100 times a minute!! stream a 4 min video on youtube !! playing a simple ******* video game online without lagging and wiping the whole raid ! is that too much to ask from our fellow ISP ? vietnam has a better internet than us !! just invest that tons of money you steal from us everymonth when we pay our fat internet and cellphone bills in something !! just once give us something in return!! no internet no electricity no phones no water no tv channel no jobs no nothing ..u take our money and never giving us something in return !! something should be done and something should be done really soon fo god sakes!
