"bought" your cable company? No...

That's normal, cable providers in Lebanon sometimes change their pro ISP. Mine was on TerraNet last year, now he is on VISP (and I regret that, since it was FULLY unlimited when it was with TerraNet, don't ask me why, I don't know, all I know is that I was able to download all the time, at full speed...).

Exactly same here and the whole city I live in , facebook chat is too laggy and disconnecting all the time at peak times , chat on IM won't deliver without a fight , and of course latency will be mesured in light years in such situation.

I used to have better ping. And FUP used to be resetted the first of each month.
Will fup still reset each month.

Yeah, it will be reset each month. But you'll have a worse ping than before...unless you buy their "real IP" thing... What you can do is you download like you just don't care at the end of each month...tadaaaa! Your FUP is reset to 0% tomorrow! That's stupid, but that's it...

I finally got out of my FUP'ed period...but my connexion is still extremely slow, just like when it was FUP'ed.

Something's wrong. Could someone from VISP check this for me please?

It's terribly slow now. Insane high pings.
They made it good again during the weekend but now they are throttling everyone to death again. Really unprofessional.
This is with real IP.

Why ? Because simply either you pay them $200000000 a month for a good internet connection or you live like this :) I got a 4 mbit account from them , I payed a fortune for it because I need it badly this month , and happy farm on facebook won't even open at 11am without a fight . Good thing it's been 2 weeks for my DSL application , so it's close it's close . Even real ip is failing hard since around 8 days , used to be excellent.

So you honestly believe them ? It's been " Ogero problem " for the past 2 years lame excuse .. Why are they always the only ones having issues with Ogero , I never got to understand that !

While everyone else I know from many different ISPs are running well and fine , I'm struggling to edit a post in lebgeeks and post here at 1:34AM when everyone is supposed to be sleeping and there is no " rush hour " .

Yeah his answer also took me by surprise. I mean do we need to keep paying more and more money in order to get the same service we used to get before? For something that if we really think about it, should be a standard.

Well he is throttling people to force them to buy real IP. Now even real IP sucks during weekdays at night. This is the Microsoft way.
Now that we all realized we absolutely need real IP, he can increase it as much as he likes. We are locked-in to it.

Completly sucks during weekdays at evening , yesterday I couldn't even logon to WoW for more than 3 minutes without getting disconnected with a 100ms latency , weird right ? No other lebanese dude I know ( different ISPs of course ) was getting this , so it's obvious it's not Blizzard's servers side , just us VISP users ( not for long ) .

I am having some real issues too
ping is low but not constant at all and I am having up top 10% packet loss

It has started lagging again. now 4 hours of no internet.
