Lebscream wroteand yah i contact VISP many times they keep telling me there is link problem with ure resselers even i tried 3 different resselers in my area all have same problem internet go slow 5pm+ and now internet is really good but wow is bad ...
Do you think your words changing too much?
I agree there is link problem to reseller. At peak time only. There is thing called link capacity. And at peak time link utilisation higher than on off-peak time. Thats why it is called peak time.
But:
It is resolved depends on problem priority. If there is only end-users, and their access still working (yea, ok, games have problem, but other than this - everything working), there is no SLA customers, and it is not very big reseller - then he should wait when equipment available. If someone wants 24/24 perfect access - it is different price.

Dedicated 1Mbit/s in lebanon is not less than $1200 per 1Mbit per month (this price is btw not yet done, since government only planning to drop down prices for backbone), plus transportation fees (depends on customer location).
Lebscream
Lol i love my connection :P
rolf
Lebscream, not all resellers in Dahie, but all resellers in lebanon have the same problem... 5 to 9 pm is peak time and the connection will get crowded.
His link is probably fine, but since he probably has 100 customer on a 1mb link (which itself is already shared), and most of these customers will get online in the afternoon, then there will be 3aj2a.
Its easy, really. Maybe you dont get the basic principle of network congestion. A link is exactly like a road. If you put too many cars on it, no matter how perfect the road is, there will be congestion and traffic and it will take twice more time to get to work.
If yo drive at 3 AM there will be nobody on the road and you will get to your destination fast. If you drive at 5 pm it will take you 4 times more because everybody is driving home from work, so there are too many cars on the road hence 3aj2a.
The internet is EXACTLY the same, everybody going online in the afternoon...
Your reseller is probably trying to make the internet very cheap. If you want better service just get DSL to your home, I think the starting price is about 30 dollars a month.
But nuclreacat... 75ms? youre just showing off you dedicated link... :D
Im impressed though...
Lebscream
hehehe i dont pay cheap believe me :P but sure i cant pay 1.2k$ for internet lol " hayda maskhara " u know what i mean but i can pay 100$ for good internet ..

That's at 11am, would love to see below 80ms at 8 in the evening, that would impress :)
P.S: Latency for residentials, not corporate or business

Lebscream wrotenuclearcat you mean all resselers in Da7ye have problems with link :o ?
Actually in Da7ye legally is only Sub-ISP who buy from VISP billing and bandwidth , and he manage accounts his own way.
But i so ur account from VISP reseller. I think he made his own link, and bring it to Da7ye. Quality of link... unpredictable. But at current stage still we have problem with VISP link to him, and it is expected to be fixed tomorrow. If he will let us do that.
Lebscream
If he let you :o is he stupid ? lol or is it expensive to get fixed which one ? cause most of da7ye isp/resseler are stupid " Byesteghlo bel mokayfet aw aya chi tene ma3on shwayet money they become isp "

Any PS3 gamers out there??
Im switching to PS3 after extremely bad experience with MS 360!
After reading some posts i realize that Ogero ADSL is the way to go... Im going back to Lebanon in 2 weeks, currently in Dubai and I lost My damn Job...
Anyone reccomend Ogero 1Mbs??
Mostly for browsing the wed, youtube and online multiplayer gaming!!!!
Thanks
Lebscream
Lol i dont reccoment anything yet :P i subscribe Ogero 1Mbs like a week waiting them to come :P
Namasensei
I heared that they need 1 month to install you the damn service!
Thats way too long, im aint gonna wait for that period,
Anyone tried Mobi 512kbps???? its fats and it seems good enough
crazy
There is no perfect company. You can have a perfect week with one, and after a shitty one... same goes for all other companies.. I wonder if they have statistics about their uptime, I guess it would be very far from the 99.99% theoratical number which should be obtained.
Internet in Lebanon is like electricity, too much users, very small (if not bad) infrastructure.
Lebscream
for real internet in lebanon "ser2a kel wazer 3ndo cherke" same everything in lebanon same MTC or ALFA or anything else iza mastefedo men kel account 60% mabekon rebe7 bel nesbe elon and about 99.99% it is a number no more they are not even 55% stable ...
WizaRd
Before you start to pull out random numbers on the forums, I suggest you base them over some FACTS.
This is my 2nd month as an Ogero user (don't complain please, I waited 4 weeks for it to be installed) and I can say that it has NEVER stopped working. As most of you know I am a heavy online games player and this is by far the best connection I ever had in Lebanon. Pings are really low and stable (~200-300ms) all day long, except from 9:30PM to 10:00PM it goes 100ms higher than normal but everything is playable with no problems whatsoever.
As for the Mobi 512k, it's good with a shit quota. I am not sure about the latencies since I haven't tried it myself but I don't think its any better than Ogero if you want to play online games.
So before anyone starts pulling out random numbers and mislead people, get your FACTS straight.
