I'm thinking on getting Wise, but I want to know, which connection would have a better latency, Wise or VISP?

Also, I'm recording how much bandwith I use this month so I can know what I should buy from Wise ( if I do get it )

I'm just writing it on notepad, I'm using dial-up so I see how much KB I've used while browsing / downloading during each time I dial / connect, then after I finish, I record how much KB I've used and disconnect :P

Yeah but I read a message that Padre said that he was sure that VISP has got same or even better latency.

I really wish Wise wasn't limited though, it would be nice if they had broadband 128, 256, and 512 connections like the other isp's.

Padre, you play online with Wise? When you do, do you ever go over the limitation?

Also, anyone know anything about Sodetel?

I'm still kind of leaning on VISP, it's the only one that I'm sure I can get because they said they got it in my area, I haven't called Wise and I've called Sodetel like 6 months ago and they said they didn't have internet in my area yet...

The faster the internet the more you will browse and eventually the more you will download, so don't rely solely on your current bandwidth.

Trial , we will have to think about this. Generally it is good idea.
For now installations not enough automated, so it take too much our resources, we cannot do that for now. Plus we have expirience, customer was not paying for hardware before, and then delaying payments for connection. Finally, when he got -$1000, let's say, we disconnect him. And he just tell "If u are a man, try to come, and take your hardware!".

Because of such assholes it is too risky to do trials and equipment for free.

lol, if i said im sure, let me fix that :P i never tried VISP before , but nuclear cat said that they dont have any extra place on their land lines.
as for WISE u'll have to ask them before you purchase if they can hook you on their land lines.

Karim, if you think that what is said by me is insulting - just do not use our connection.
Go and use the connection of some other ISP, where you will just fund some political party
with your money. If you come to us, it means that you agree fully with my words (we perform better than the others).

Sorry through putting you through a lot of work Padre, but what is a parabolic reflector, where can I get one, and how do I use it / how does it work? If I'm living in an area where the signal is poor, would the parabolic reflector make the signal better?

and about a parabolic reflector, it was originally designed to make wireless anthena directional so you can directt he signal into certain regions in order to increase it's strendth. altho the NexNet box's anthena is already directional, the use of the reflector did improve my signal a bit, formely from 2bars to 3bars on the box. now i got full 5, but i keep the reflector anyway :)

About just starting, no, WISE has been around for 2 yrs now or a bit more, but i guess the reason of their performance is because they are politically backed.

About Trial, WISE used to offer free trial, i got my box after trying their connection for couple of weeks. but dunno if they are still offering that.
It's not a big deal, cause you can't do anything if you steal the box, they just deny it from the network, and no one will purchase it :P
and fuck i feel like a WISE sales man :S

Just as a footnote: NO i dont work for them, nor do i get an profit if you guys purchase anything from them.
