Cougar faux leather gaming chair and Lebanon's humidity?

I want to get a Cougar Defensor chair, I was going with the leatherette version instead of fabric but I saw some general reports over the net that we should avoid faux leather in hot and humid countries because they could peel.
Knowing that Lebanon has about 4 months a year at least of hot and humid weather, what is your experience with Cougar gaming chair with fake leather?
Could it survive 5 years?

Make sure to avoid direct sunlight (UV rays degrade materials). If you're running an AC at home, you're dehumidying your environment so it should be OK. Five years? Who knows, it depends on how good the leatherette is.

Thanks! I ended getting the fabric version, it's definitely more breathable and in black it won't get dirty easily
