Hello, I'm going to visit my parents in a few weeks, the internet is absolutely atrocious where they are right now and was wondering if I'm able to bring starlink with me through the airport or if it will get confiscated. Does anyone have any experience with it?
Bringing startlink with me to lebanon
Non-state licensed satellite uplinks are illegal and you can end up having an unpleasent knock on your door. I personally would not do it. Do your parents have decent LTE coverage? If so, just pay for a data SIM.

:/ Thank you Samer.
You can, but Starlink stopped working in Lebanon around 1.5 years.
My friend brought me one to Syria, and I know a lot of people brought devices with them through Rafic Al Hariri Airport from: Germany, Canada Netherlands, UAE and USA.

RandomMemory as it is currently illegal, I would suggest to you, based on practice to go with the following:
TerraNet WDSL, relatively stable, affordable, Low Latency (8Mbps is sufficient for Shahid, video calls etc. Live streaming not that much, but it worked with Cablevision+).
Sales might initially tell you that there is no coverage in your area but insist on it as they did it for me, and I was able to install it in 3 different locations without any technical issues.
Ogero LTE: Use your mobile phone and scan for networks Manually, if you find 415 05 in addition to alfa and touch in the network list, then you might be able to get Ogero LTE. You may get speeds up to 150 Mbps, but latency may vary from 100ms to 3,000ms.
Note: I am not sure about your current setup, if you have DSL or something else. But based on experience, having a couple of repeaters at your place will cause a high number of dropped packets. Program the router to work only as a modem, without any Wi-Fi, and install a mesh network. This will enhance your experience significantly.
Yes! On the roaming plan. There are more than 2000 active devices in Syria. Hopefully Starlink will not ban it.
For the Starlink Standard Gen 3: it can reach up to 400Mbps/Down and 20-30Mbps/Up
For the Starlink Mini: it can reach up to 100Mbps/Down and 20Mbps/Up
Latency between 60-120
You can check a lot of results here
And in some crowded areas in Damascus where there are a lot of active devices, the Download speed is not reaching 5Mbps at night in the peak times 😅
