Hello everyone,

Now that many of us are benefiting from the new DSL Open Speed plans, it would be great if we start sharing the max speeds we are getting.

For me, the max I got was 1,762 kB/s which equates to 14.1 Mbps (1,762 x 8 = 14,096).

Looking forward to reading your stats.

Thanks.

Update: Speeds reported so far in Mbps:

22
20
17.57
17.05
15.69
14.4
10.5
10
Let's see if we will have any 17, 18 or even higher Mbps, but as far as I remembered even in the open speed test day I didn't see any 17 Mbps or more !
Mine is limited on 10 Mbps for now....IDM case.
A few days ago when they first started applying the new plans i was at 10.4 mb/s. Since then its been at a stable 7 mb/s, approximately double my internet connection so its great.
Hello, the max values I managed to get was:

Data Rate: ~10600
Max Rate: ~12220

Speed Test: 10.5mbps

Note: A small interference is still existent on my line, when power was down for few minutes I saw the Max Rate goes up to ~14000 but I had to restart and re do a test speed to check what the Data Rate would be at this moment. (My apartment is 1.5km away from Ogero centrale)

Hey there, just wanted to point something out (not being a dick or anything, just sharing knowledge since I had the same mistake):
1,762 kB/s = 1762*1024 Bytes/s= 1804288*8 bits/s= 14434304 bits/s = 14434304/(10^6) Mbits/s~14.4 Mbps.

Thanks a lot for the math. It's been too long since I've done this back in university's time.

On another note, I am going to update my first post with all the speeds posted so that we can do a statistical analysis on it.
@Xsever I think it would be much more beneficial to post line stats along with the max rates achieved (mainly attenuation and SN Margin). Just so that people would be able to better compare results and know where they stand in terms of their line quality and such.

I think this is being done in the other thread quite extensively. I made this thread on purpose just so that all this information is filtered out and presented nicely regardless of the other details.
@Almighty

Wow that's nice. How far are you from the CO and in what region?
Unfortunately, i have to wait until August 1 so that the open speed bundle is activated for me. How is yours already activated?

Ahmad Toutounji wrote go for vdsl i'm sure you will benefit greatly from it
vdsl will be activated for me at the first of the month, fingers crossed due to speed
ok tell us the speeds you will get along with stats
sure i will, August 1st I will be posting the speed from speedtest.net and the stats from my router
Iam getting 20Mbps open speed Ogero and I am 600m away from the CO.
ADSL info:
Mode: ADSL_2plus
Status: Up

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (0.1 dB): 103 146
Attenuation (0.1 dB): 215 125
Output Power (0.1 dBm): 182 121
Rate (Kbps): 14968 1023

But speedtest gives me still 3.7Mb/s
Why?
except when it tests to terranet servers (my isp) then it gives around 12.5 Mb/s

Can someone explain please?
i'm getting 22Mbps. Replacing my cable, so should be getting slightly higher values in a few days.
Would anyone please summarise the changes that happened with the new plans alongside what all of this VDSL, Open Speed are; and most importantly how on earth are you getting them?

As of Sunday, i noticed my home internet (what was supposedly a 2Mbps plan) yield ~3.5Mbps and the work internet (what was supposedly a 4Mbps plan) yield ~6.5Mbps.

What have i missed?
I really don't understand how you're all getting such insane speeds. Im barely hitting 7mb/s. I live in Hamra.
