• Lobby
  • Address Box - Shipping to Lebanon

Dear Geeks,

If I want to order a tangible product online, and I live in the mountains, what do I put under the address box? This shipping thing is really confusing in Lebanon.

Thanks.

Ok so I just have to visit a branch of Liban-post, ask for a P.O box, and use that as the address on the website?
Yes, but i suggest to wait for other members on forum.
Personally i didn't used it, even i have same situation, i always use company address where i work, because also libanpost deliver usually at work time, while i am not at home, and now often reception get my packages, if i am working not in office.
The PO Box is not free though.
What you could do is, check if LibanPost delivers to your mountain home and write an address that they will understand after talking with them.
PO Box is the safest I think.
Libanpost usually know where to deliver if you put your exact address in details, but I only tried it through Beirut. Either ask for a PO box or go to your nearest branch and talk to them.
In Beirut, you can ask them for your postal code (yes, we have those). Call them up and describe your address and ask them how you should write it.
to ship from usa the po box system is useless. they dont work this way. put your real address. if liban post didnt sent it to your home. it will be available on your nearest liban post office. you can pick it up
Thank you very much everyone for your great insight!

I have a novice follow up question, if I do provide my real address under the address box, does the shipment automatically arrive to Liban post, or is there another logistics/shipment party in Lebanon for which my product could initially land on? I really do not mind the PO box and I do not mind putting my address either, I guess I was just confused as to which firm initially puts their hand on my product upon its arrival.

Thank you very much!

Depends on the courrier you use.
If you're ordering from the USA and you use USPS then LibanPost.
If you use UPS, FedEx, DHL.. they have their own places independent of LibanPost
I've used PO box several times, it works, but even though I bought a notify me by SMS they did not and had waited until aliexpress said that it was delivered.
