so Ive been working for a while to get some money for my new PC , and with the arrival of the new 10xx series for the green team ( and 4xx for the red team ) , I think Im ready to waste my money ,so I need help.
budget is 860-900$ ( 900 is MAX )
knowing that I need an i5 ( preferably an 6500 )
Im not sure about the vga but I would drop everything to the minimum ( except the i5 ) for a good gtx1070 .
If you can fit in an gtx1070 , I dont need a high performance motherboard , a big case , an SSD , or even a high wattage PSU
I have a 22 inch 1080p monitor and Im getting 2 more soon for a triple screen 1080p setup , also I might get VR but not this year ,
I need builds guys ,
we all know the site when it comes to a gaming PC, with its good prices and crappy costumer support ,
( unless you have a better site ) we will take pcandparts.com !
I dont need someone building it or even running it , so that should save some extra cash towards the rig .
the gtx1070 is very expensive graphics card 400+$ unless you want to buy a second hand graphics card(used), I recommend the RX480 from amd it costs around 300$ and its VR ready plus you'll be able to game any modern games at 1080p on high settings.

well I would appreciate a cold low power consuming vga , the money that is gonna go on a psu and cooling upgrade could go towards a better card from the green team
also I need a VR ready VGA that could handle games on ultra ( with few tweaks ) setting on triple 22" 1080p monitor setup
and Im really not sure but the price gap between a 1060 in leb and a 1070 is just around 130$ while it costs 170-200$ in USA .
I would feel kinda scammed if I dont go for a 1070 but idk , I dont have enough information to confirm that , so you can always correct me if Im wrong
you want to get a 1070 with a 900$ budget? I highly doubt you will. Earn more money then buy a new PC. I had a budget of 1.2k when i first started, i ended up spending 3.5k haha. It escelated quickly And i dont regret it at all. I will buy a new Corsair mouse on christmas too .
Ohh and someone building it for you costs only 10$
900$ is way 2 low for pc gaming , stafoun payed 3.5k , i'm arround 4k as well , ithink u can start with 1.5k minimum for pc gaming
ManOwaRR wrote900$ is way 2 low for pc gaming , stafoun payed 3.5k , i'm arround 4k as well , ithink u can start with 1.5k minimum for pc gaming
ffs ! if I had more than 1000$ for a pc I would donate it , no joke , I will never ever spend that much money on a console just to run games for me on my free time ...
So no , if I had 3.5k I would get gifts to all my family members or donate the money to someone who needs it to eat more than to play games ( no offense )
and I was able to get a decent pc offer with an 1070 ( not the compact one ) and an i5 6500 , for 930$
but sadly I cant get that extra 40$ , because I quited my job due to education purposes , I can get the deal for 920$ but thats not my question , I just need suggested builds ,
the offer was made by pcandparts.com , ill post the specs later
I was really hoping that someone would actaully help instead of suggesting to spawn 3K dollars because he did so and now he lives happily with his pc that costs as much as a car

With all due respect, that's retarded, not everyone has that much money to splurge on a PC, and OP can get an more than decent PC fpr $900. Please, disregard that OP.
An i5 6400, 8GB of the cheapest sticks of RAM you can get (because RAM is RAM), ASRock B150 Pro4/3.1, NZXT S340, a 250GB Samsung 750 EVO, Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB, ZotacGTX 1060 Mini 3GB, Corsair CX750 or Thermaltake SMART SE 630W should run you about $800, feel free to drop the SSD if you wanna drop the price some more.
First of all, i didnt spend that money in one day, it was over a course of 2 years.
Second, i was saving money, i bought a 800$ laptop a year before i started buying the parts for my pc
Third, it took me 4-5years for the PC money, i started working at age of 15-16. And i am still working
I am an Architecture student and i do LOTS of renderings.I play once a week, and i work on my college projects 6 days a week, not to mention all the sleepless nights to finish the project before due.
So dont come and make me look like some rich guy wasting my parents money or something. Right now i am broke, i only have 150$ that i am planning on buying a Corsair Mouse which gonna cost like 80$ i always try to buy something and keep in mind that i would spend half or 2/3 of the money i have. i bought a UPS after 1year+ of owning my pc,
Now u know that i use my PC more than i use my bed, and if you dont buy the most comfortable bed, you wont sleep well, same goes for the pc
Costs much as a car? Well my education costs as much as a house.
You cant just come here and say all that with insults and saying no offense pfft. Work hard and you will get what you want.

My opinion, wait for the Gtx1050 and you can get yourself a budget pc that would run games on your free time ^-^
i5 (6500) and GTX1070 for 900$ is a very hard fit, I managed to do it for 920.7$

Here is my build (prices here with no TVA), if there is a more echo option ill mention it under the item:

1- Skylake 3.20 GHz - i5-6500 6M/LGA1151 $193.00
* Choosing i5-6400 ($178.00) will save you 15$ but 2.7Ghz is low!!!

2- Asus H110M-K D3 micro-ATX (DDR3) (LGA1151) Link $61.00
* Choosing Asrock H110M-HDS (56$) will save you 4$ because you will have to pay extra 1$ for RAM (DDR4 cheapest 8GB), I chose this DDR3 board because it is the cheapest 1151 board with a known manufacturer (Asus)

3- HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model HX316C10FB/8 for $39.00
* This is the cheapest 8GB stick at pcandparts

4- Cougar CG-MX200 Mid Tower Case Link $24.00
* Cheapest mid tower case with pre-included fans (2), 120mm intake front with red led and 90mm exhaust, has 1 usb3.

5- 1TB WD10EZEX 7200RPM SATAIII 64MB $49.00
* Choosing 500GB WD ($45) saves you 4$ but not worth it, loosing a lot of capacity in storage and cache

6- Zotac ZT-P10700G-10M GeForce GTX 1070 Mini 8GB GDDR5 Super Compact Now in stock $425.00
* Cheapest GTX1070 and fits in the case

7- Cooler Master RS500-ACABB1 B500W Ver.2 500W PSU (85% efficiency) Link $46.00
* Cheapest PSU with an acceptable power output and quality

Total Price = 837$ + 10% = 920.7$ ~ 921$

Shipping cost depends on your area, I expect that the weight will be in 10 - 15 KG

Notes: No DVD included, you need to install windows using a USB drive

This is the best I can do with this budget

you spent most of your pc money on the cpu and ram because u needed rendering and stuff but I dont need that myself, an i7 is a waste under my hands , and just a note , do you know now why you are broke ?
I get it now , sitting infront of the pc monitor is your life , but for a 18 years old guy like me who would spend 2 hours a day max on the pc , I guess 900$ is more than what I need .
and although you came bashing in like a kid stating that if you dont have 3000$ for a gaming pc you can go F yourself , you have a point ( if we take your life as an example not mine ) I mean you should spend the most money on what you mostly spend your time on ,, for you its the pc , other people would say a "bed" ( since they spend 6-9 hours a day using it ) , but for me , its the car , so not everyone need that much for a pc , and FYI , I wouldnt nag even if I had 800$ budget , bcz I know that if you want a high end(ish) gaming pc , you can get one for 780$ ,, I used to work in these stuff and not everyone has more than 1k dollars laying around ...
Why not get second hand parts? All my parts are second hand. Enjoy top performance for half the cost

dude you are a legend !
going with the DDR4 build , but I didnt know i5 6th gen runs ddr3 ram and motherboard
and what are your thoughts about the ram listed in pcandparts , I mean they were 33$ for 8gb , now 44$ ! why ?! anyway do you suggest buying the ram from a local store ? and I dont want my PC to be built by anyone except me , ive seen the wiring work ,
what about the 1070 , wouldnt it be better to buy the 3 fans premium pack 1070 ? costs 14 $ more , and would it fit the mx200 if I break the HDD tray ?

Intel 6th gen works with DDR3 no problem, as for the RAM prices, yeah they were cheaper before, but even with this price increase at pcandparts I think they still have the cheapest price (you still can ask any local store to make sure), as for your usage you will not loose anything by choosing a DDR3 system, you don't run memory intensive applications or play on integrated graphics that benefits from RAM speed, and the RAM i chose is a pretty one for cheap price (black heatsink).
If you chose DDR4 you need to choose another board like the cheaper ASRock or a little bit more expensive Asus H110M-C.
When ordering from pcandparts you can simply get them as parts and not an assembled system, so you do build your own pc, as for the graphic card, the 3 fans premium will not fit in this case, the HDD cage is not removable, you need to opt for much more expensive case to make it fit, so I suggest you go with the mini.
MrClass wroteWhy not get second hand parts? All my parts are second hand. Enjoy top performance for half the cost
NO ! do you live in Lebanon ?
lebanese people dont know what a second hand price means .. if they buy an item for example for 300$ , they would ask for 330$ ( live witness ) , akid ma heyye 2idon fya barake , the value for that item would rise , SMH . and for a rig that costs 800$ new from pcandparts , they would ask for 700-800$ , and would bash you if you offer less , if you tell them to lower the price because it is used they would laugh and be like esho 3m tshtere seyyara , and if you say something like "umm this exact build can be bought for the same price new " , they would be like haha ana bshtere , if you give them up to date prices from pcandparts.com , they would be like , no mine is a "special edition" one and costs x3 more , FFS esho ma3mole mn dahab , have you seen the used gtx970s and 980s listed online ? pay extra 50$ and get a new one , no joke , thats how lebanese people live , they want to get profit from EVERYTHING .

yes you are right , it wont fit the case but what if I break the HDD tray ? you know , that aluminum / plastic tray that stands right in the way of the vga , and also I really like the looks for that case and I dont want another one , I dont mind doing extra work as long as it is possible

I do not recommend, these small low cost cases rely heavily on the smallest structure basics, you will just make it paper like weak and it might collapse because of the PSU/HDD weight, the premium version card is heavy and long, it is even sagging on ATX motherboards with steel reinforced PCIE slots, go with the mini, very acceptable.
