Are Sony and samsung new TVs in Lebanon or the boats are still trapped in Bermuda Triangle?

AS you have said OLED HDR is the ultimate solution for real , those OLED Screen of LG 2016 Lines in the show room are so damn gorgeous. I used to have an LG TV 1080 Cinema 3D, passive solution is very comfortable with cheap not shutter type of glasses/ and on the Uh850V model you will benefit a 1080p resolution for each eye which looks things very crisp while watching 3D 4K Movies.elserge82 wroteThank you.Tech Guru wroteCongratulation mate. Oh that is a bit overpriced , I did a probing tour towards Khoury Home 2 days ago and they have the 65Uh850V less than that. I will most probably go with A Sony x800D or I will pay more and go with a Samsung KS8000 or 8500. None are released till now in Lebanon , hopefully on New Year I will get some good news, since Sony (Fattal) has only the 55 inchs X 850D , x970 D and Samung has the KS 9500 Series , Khoury on its new order they told me they will include the 65UH850v , they do have the Lg 950 series but I guess it is overpriced compared to competitors from Sony X940D or Samsung KS 9500. I think you should have gone with the Samsung 55 inch KS 9500 @ 2500 USD that features a true 10 bit panel , and an LG OLED like the E6 or B6 or C6 are great alternatives too.
The Reasons why I did not went with the u850V from LG:
Not a 10 bit Panel , 8bit + dithering = some color banding issues on HDR and less P3 Color Space Coverage for Wide Color Gamut compared to Native 10 Bit Panels.
3 HDMI Inputs , only One accepts 4k HDR or 4K HDR 4 4 4 Single.
For gaming , I seek a low input Lag and on 4K HDR the Lg UH 850V reports approximately 65- 70ms.
Sony / Samsung Up-scalers are more versatile.
You are completely right. But I have a different point of view when I bought this tv I was looking for all the features including passive 3d. To be honest I never looked into sony since I saw these tvs on khoury home are very pricey(as I remember), despite the tempting Android OS.
And as i mentioned before,I tested the differences between the 850 and 950 with hdr 10bits movies (not dolby vision) I didn't find a huge difference if any (knowing about the panels made me skeptical but couldn't confirm the difference). I recommend you redoing that test with a 10bit hdr movie (not dolby vision, an hdr notification should appear while starting the sample). I would like to get some feedback from you regarding this. not sure about sony but lg supports both hdr formats unlike other TVs and you'll probably hate that your new tv is not capable of playing all formats.
For me, this tv is temporary, I am buying some time till Oled comes way cheaper. HDR oled is the ultimate solution.
I did a very deep comprehensive research today :elserge82 wroteDid you buy a tv or not yet?

This link shows that there are 3 hdmi2.0a
I cannot perform the test you requested since I'm using skylake vga . Waiting for kabi lake.
I played hdr 60 hz 4k over lan and usb. My pc can't handle these formats. When i bought my tv, Lg didn't have other than the 65 inches variant.i can contact them if interested .
By the way , you havet to choose on hdmi ports hdmi ultra colors or the cec-hdmi feature ( for chromecast definitely cec, for pc hdmi ultra color)
