It will be a hard fit if your PC was at full load (cpu & gpu) after few weeks your battery should start to degrade so hovering on the limit point is not safe, Unless, I repeat, Unless, you will Only and Only be using your PC lightly or using Only the CPU at full load, it is a risky move because as you said, you will never know when the power will be out, maybe you are gaming at the time the power is down and your UPS could shutdown from extra load, I know that there is noticeable difference in budget between the 900va and 2000va but you are buying a UPS to protect your PC, you don't want to make the UPS a source of damage threat to your PC, save and get the proper one.
Note: If you know nearby electronic stores, go check they might have a 1500va - 500 to 600watt UPSs with Dual battery below 100$, it should be in the 80$ range
As for time well it depends on the load, this 900va is a single battery one, if you had a load scenario and the UPS didnt immediately shutdown, it might be 5 minutes in the early days of usage, soon it will be reduced to 3 mins then 2 then few seconds of load, having dual battery UPS will surely help increasing and maintaining a longer time.

Let me guess, if i was playing games , and as soon as the power went out, and i minimized the game, doesnt that lower the load instantly?! i mean like whenever i do so, cpu aint at load nor the Gpu, only the game is using high RAM thats all, so i guess i found a way to save maself when am gaming
Mostly i am playing Battlefiled hardline online, BF4 , and Fallout shelter hahah, but anyway nothing THAT heavy you know. I must say i do know that i need a better ups , but i dont have money anymore , bought some bike and now an HDD a mouse mat and so on. So i am goin to have to get a small ups . afterall i have been without one for a year, i mean like, aint one better than none at all?!
5mins?! Thats alot haha, as i told you, i need it only few seconds. During winter whenever theres a storm or something i dont use ma pc, i use ma laptop if i have work to be done
anayman_k7
Well it is true if you minimize the game the gpu will stop drawing and its power draw will be reduced but this is still not safe, honestly I suggest you wait more opinions about having this ups vs non having any, because I feel that non having any is better for the time being, and I repeat, check the nearby Electronic stores, they might have some option that could fits your need.
Satfoun
not having any is better than having that one?! O.o Well pcandparts said i better not buy that ups. Let me check when they will have that one with 2 batteries. I have right a UPS that it was supposed to be fixed, it has two batteries, it was barely used and yet it no longer work lol
brand is: Best one, never heard of it. Anyhow whenever i charge it , after i turn it on and remove it from the wall socket, it turns off instantly. Took it to get repaired but that guy lied to us and it did not get fixed :|
If only that mge didnt have that loud fan. I have on order to be placed tomorrow for friday. To buy, or not to buy that ups ? I wont be gaming much to be honest, mostly on autocad. and usually i play after 12 because unlimited ineternet for the online games, so we are talking mostly about 150W power consumption not much

Check the fan specs, you could find a replacement that is not noisy, maybe glue some silent 12cm pc fan in the voltage is 12volt

i tried lots of things...took it to someone but anw...i gave it to dad, hes using it one some low budget pc. i5 2400k , asus r7 240.
I guess ill buy that ups, once its not working anymore and i have the money, ill buy a new one. unless pcandparts is restocking that other 2 battery one very soon
EDIT: they said in 10 days, tho i know how much 10 days is for pcandparts hahah, guess ill wait and buy it using ma christmas money :p
anayman_k7
Use your dad ups on your pc and the new UPS on your dad pc, how about that?
Satfoun
No no, i faced problems with it. Besides the fan doesnt bother them at all at the office, its near a busy road and the noise outside make the fan noise bearly hearable. Whereas ma room is way too quiet, nt to mention when i stay up all night working
anayman_k7
So? any updates? Did it work for you?
Satfoun
nop...still waitin fr that one to get restocked

Satfoun wrotenop...still waitin fr that one to get restocked
I got an 1500VA INVO ups from microcity and it's working fine, I get a lot of power outages through the day(like 4 to 6 times) and it never failed me, maybe you should check it out.
hussam
I had the INVO UPS from microcity. It never handled anything. The switch period was so huge it was pointless.
I am using a PCE 900Watts 2000VA UPS and it kept my computer up for 20 minutes two days ago before I decided to hibernate.
The switch delay on a PCE is like 2ms. The PSU will handle that very easily.
I learned that the main factor in choosing a good UPS is the delay. Even a 2500VA / 1200Watts UPS won't protect you for 1 second if the switch delay is too long.

I FINALLY BOUGHT IT
Yeah i got the PCE 1500VA, 78$ , working perfectly so far ^-^
I cannot believe i have been using my pc and turning it off before the electricity outages and so on, For like 1year and 4months :|
All this because of that unbearable 175$ MGE UPS
