Hello guys,

So wanted to check if there is any place yet to buy the MSI gtx 1070 , i know Macrotronics has it but its extremely overpriced...

pcandparts don't have it yet , any other places that might sell it atm ?

Thanks
lets talk prices:
macrotronics is overpricing it at $660.00
local store in mtayleb (multitech) priced it for me at $615.00 which seems in the normal range..
and as techguru purchased from gcsleb in sarba highway for $610.00 which again seems in the normal range...

meanwhile, still waiting for pcandparts...

I tried comparing the prices on the online stores with the prices here, and pcandparts offers almost the same prices , maybe online are 5% cheaper but still , a good offer knowing you will get it fast.

Online, the GTX 1070 Gaming from MSI is about 500$, you can find it for 430€ which is also cheaper. so i would say pcandparts price for this graphics card should be around 480-520$. which would be a great deal comparing to those stores you listed.
Wait for someone who is coming from the US, you will win 150$

Concercing the expected prices of PC&Parts - I will take that with a grain of salt and put it in the "speculation" basket. Clatify to me you assumed that PC&Parts prices will be only 5% increase on newegg prices for example. Have you knew the release prices of the 970/980/980ti @ pc&parts for example. One more thing , if they will release it 3 months after lunch (example September) prices will logically be down worldwide , but on both sides online stores compared to PC&Parts price difference = 5% with shipment , customs , VAT , and profit margin I am missing some thing here :) mainly on Pascal since Maxwell PC&Parts release prices was similar to other shops in Lebanon (2% less at max and & 35 % incease on official lunch price) still now the 980 is hovering above 400 & 980ti is hovering above USD 700 @ PC&Parts. Remember PC&Parts by outer layout looks like an online shop but core a regular shop , Microcity & Macrotronics you can place online orders too.
spotnet has the 1080 and 1070 .. 1600 and 800 $$$$$$$ respectively .. i almost had a heart attack when he told me the prices so casually

Did they charge you for the question?
Like 4 months ago i asked them about a 144hz monitor, it was around 900$, got it for 510 from somewhere else.
Yes but they add real gold on their products ;)

They actually told me the 1080 was for $1300. It's like they have no idea what the prices are in the rest of the world.
i can get it to you for 600 if u prefer :P the MSI 1070 Twin
I just called pcandparts and they told me a new shipment is coming in end of next week, but he didn't know what products are coming in..
Been testing the card for the last couple & days. It is awesome how cool it runs & whisper silent. TORX 2.0 is great , running in OC mode , a real major upgrade from 970 to 1070 , sweet spot for this card is 1440p. 2160p is very possible by dailing down AA & Very to High ~ 45 fps in Witcher 3
you dont need AA with 2K and 4K, right?
I can confirm that pcandparts is getting a few 1080s atleast .. my friend has requested from them one and they will deliver next week .. i think they will charge near a 1000$ for it but am not sure.
Any one else who is not in a hurry join massdrop and get it from them for 720$ without tax (expected delivery is september) also tomorrow is your last chance.

Well Mate on Demanding AAA Titles such as GTA 5 , Witcher 3 - Ultra with 2xMsaa for 1440p & High with FXAA for 2160p knowing that I didn't upgrade yet my monitor to 1440p (
PG279Q I might be getting the PG348Q. I am using DSR I think is a bit taxing compared to native resolutions due to super-sampling & filtering techniques it used. Very satisfied with the upgrade it puts my old 970 (Heavily Custom OC) in the shadows.

For native 4K , HDMI 2.0 through the TV I will try it soon, I might witness some input lag but worth the try. The i7 4790 is not bottleneck at all.

Buddy , is that a special order or in stock order - what edition he bought (custom or Founder Ed.) Keep us posted on the final price & type. 1000 USD is steep for a 1080 OC Custom , even. If that is the scenario this validate my point that PC&Parts prices will be around 35% higher than prices out of Lebanon (mainly USA) - case similar the majority of other local computer shops.

with 4k 27 inches no you don't. I can vouch for that as this is the res I'm running. you can put AA x2 if you want to wipe all jagged edges even if u bring ur face close to the screen. but at normal distances no AA is needed.

at 2k you do need AA but to a lesser extent than 1080p. I don't know how much exactly as I am running everything on highest when I am testing 2k.
how much of a difference can you see between 1080p vs 2K vs 4K?
