I don't think it will drop this week. The correct price of this phone is 550$, if you are willing to pay the 100 premium to have it now, go ahead, otherwise wait a week or two.

It will surely not drop to 550$ in a week or 2, it will take a month for that.
At Stars it will be in the 630$ in a week or 2 and 640$ for Gomobile, don't expect a big drop any time soon, price will drop 5-10$ per week not more, if Stars wanted to sell it at a competitive price (at least 50$ less than Gomobile) they would have done it already, but they can't.
It took 2 months for the S7 to drop to 550$, the 10 is here for 3 weeks.
The thing is that the A9 price dropped too and will continue to drop, it went from 440$ to 400$ and this week 380$ with Gomobile, I would have lost on it what I would have won on the 10

Gomobile is increasing the price of the HTC10 instead of decreasing it!!!

I bought my LG G2 3 years ago from a small shop that also brought it to me 3al talab because he doesn't keep LG stocks in his shop. Without any prior negotiation or discount request , he gave it to me for 595$ while all other shops I visited and who had stocks of it wanted between 630 and 670.

so phonefinity is still being expensive rearding the htc 10

Seems that Sony is starting to beat HTC in software optimization.

The Xperia X with snapdragon 650, adreno 510 and only 3GB of ram seems to strongly compete with HTC 10 and often outperform it in performance and ram management according to the following: speedtest !

So what is your practical feedback on the HTC 10 so far?
to be fair that is the slowest htc 10 i've ever seen. it could be a software issue on this particular unit. the device was lagging and stuttering.
I had a personal experience with an htc 10, and i can tell you its very fast and smooth.

This comparison is bull.

Can you please explain?
I don't know why, but that 10 is slower than others. Maybe there's bloatware loaded on it by the guy who made the video. It's much faster than that, I've seen it with my own eyes

Well it might look the fastest phone on earth but that doesn't mean it is!
Comparing it to other phones is what proves it!

I've watched each and every speed comparison video involving the HTC10 from many youtubers! It lost all of its battles! G5, S7, S7e, P9, Mate 8, etc... Even lost against already slow Xiaomi Mi5.

I always thought HTC does some magic tricks/optimization to improve performance! It seems I was wrong! I was considering this phone but I'm utterly disappointed now! Not because it's 0.5sec slower to open an app, but because on such light software it should be beating other S820 phones but it's not...

For those who have this device is it possible to get 5-6 hours screen on time on one charge?
My friend used to get around 4 hours with regular use. now he gets over 1 hour with Pokemon go.

Can anyone provide a reasonable explanation to why HTC 10 costs today 610$ under warranty in Lebanon while:
- S7 costs 500$
- LG G5 costs 460$
Why this arrogance from HTC? What is the wow thing that the HTC 10 provide and that others lack to explain the 100-150$ price difference? As if they are openly telling people to buy something else!!

My reference for prices is phonefinity.
Hey, this is standard policy from HTC, i've noticed that overtime, all phone brands reduce their prices, all but HTC.
i remember my HTC One M7 never fluctuated in price.

Huawei have the same policy (in lebanon), but with a twist, instead of buying a device the full price (exemple Huawei Mate 9 at 800$) you will buy it at 520$ day 1, and it will still be arround that buying price all year long.

I got my Mate 8 last February for 440$ with warranty, today it cost 410 without warranty.

i used to be an HTC fan but frankly, for that price get a OnePlus 3T / Mate 9.

At least Huawei are not robbing us, unlike HTC!
