You wanna stop the fight ? Or do you wanna risk your life ? I'm sure if the victim was a beloved one (talking about myself here) you wouldn't think about the law when u attack him.
This is why I'm a little confused about the actions of the wife. I don't think the wife could ever have overpowered Tareq, but I didn't see her do much else other than stand a few feet away from the action and put her arms out. She stepped closer a few times and Tareq pushed her away, but that was it. A few times she begged the people around to help, but we all know how successful that was.
For a wife defending the
life of her husband, I would have expected her to do much more, such as literally falling over her husband and covering his body. If she gets picked up and thrown away, I would expect that she did it again. If I was defending the
life, and that is the keyword, of someone I loved, such as my wife or family member, I would put my own life on the line without a second thought.
Of course, we don't know what was going through her mind or what her physical condition was, so there's a lot of variables that might have forbidden her to take those actions.
What do you guys think? Am I being logical and realistic or have I been influenced by Hollywood too much?
