vegetaleb wroteMy M9 is certainly better than S6 but I still prefer the Note 4/Edge screen most.
Are you still happy with your Note 4? Do you get easy scratch on the screen and metalic frame?
Personally if I had to switch back to samsung I would take a Note 4 over S6 anyday, the S6 has pink tint and board burnins defects
My friend got a Note Edge and it's really a wow looking phone even if he reckon the edge part is totally gimmick, I preferred it over the S6 Edge too.

Well I'm kinda disappointed with the note 4!

Battery life is bad! Even on kitkat my Oneplus one smocked the hell out of it! On lollipop 5.0.2 nowadays I can barely get 3hrs SOT during my day and barely reach home at 7/8pm! That is with low usage of fb, whatsapp, etc... no gaming whatsoever!
I'm an android power user so even with root, greenify, better battery stats or wakelock detector I couldn't detect anything specific draining the battery! It's the whole system fucked up!

Besides ram management sucks as always on samsung phones! I barely have 400mb of free ram even on custom debloated roms! That's unacceptable! And the usual saying "free ram is wasted ram" doesn't apply because most of the ram is taken by the system and by samsung apps/services which leaves nothing for the user himself! That's the real waste!

I thought samsung improved over the note 3 with the note 4 but it looks that i was wrong! Besides battery life in real life usage is much better on the note 3!

Anyways I cannot recommend a samsung phone to anyone except for: -people who extremely need their features over anything else -people who want a great camera over anything else. Any power user who needs real multitasking (keeping many apps in ram without being closed) should definitely look elsewhere!

However I'll give mine another chance waiting for 5.1 update!

Peace!
I think no phone can beat the Z3 for battery life, the S6 and M9 also suffer from a not so good battery, that's why I bought a quick charger from US for my car and one for my home (they barely cost 10$ there), it looks like 5.01 and 5.0.2 the culprit, the incoming Android M update will boost battery but if they will release it in September it will take till Christmas to get the proper update by samsung and HTC.
Better get a quick charger for your car then ;)

Well I think android 5.1 fixed it so it should be good before android M!

However I think my note 4 won't see android 5.1 before august and I bet it won't see android M before next february!

I'm actually surprised by your great optimism and faith in samsung's update timeline!
Go and see how Note Edge users are crying!
One of the most beautiful phone out there but samsung is very poor in ROM updates for this phone, put aside the absence of dev for the side screen.
The Note 4 looks like enjoying more updates, it had LP update weeks before Edge.
What I love with HTC flagships is that HTC improve immensely the phone with the updates...but if it's not a flagship the Rom dev scene is near zero, the M9+ (which is out in Lebanon btw) has the better specs for me compared to M9 with a screen 1440p 5.2'', but there is not a single custom Rom.
This is crazy to see that such phones like Edge and M9+ are not liked by devs!

Hehehehe Amhaz is getting crazy!
They increased the note Edge price by 50$!!
The Note 5 is coming in 6 weeks...

This is what I am reading. Samsung is releasing it early to beat Apple.

I also heard they will discontinue the Note line after the Note 5 and will just start releasing the S line with a Note option. So the S7 will come with the S7 Note as well.

Should I trade my note 4 for a nexus 6?!
I'm really thinking about it!
I will mainly loose the Spen and that great camera/screen.
On the bright side, I will gain access to instantaneous updates, better performance/ram, front speakers, bigger screen.
Depends on your needs, if bad camera and big size is not a problem for you then swap it, note 4 is a very good phone (even better than note 5 for me) but TW killed it.
Try Glamour rom which is a s6 port, if it's laggy then go for nexus 6.
Btw nexus 5 2015 is near
Man I was willing to wait for android 5.1 or 5.1.1.
First they said July, then early august and we're now nearly at the end of august and still no sight of that awaited update.
This really sucks!
This is the only thing I really like about apple and its products!
I feel sometimes that samsung (and other phone makers) tend to delay those updates as much as possible, so that impatient users, like me, jump to their newly released flasghips!
I'm still stuck on 4.4.4 with my Note 4 but I don't care. After seeing what the Note 5 lacks, I won't be changing my Note 4 for a while. What a shame from Samsung.

By the way, you can use Odin and flash your Samsung without waiting for an official update as long as your phone isn't locked to a carrier.

...As long as the update itself is available.
5.1/5.1.1 is not yet available at all for the note 4!

call me a stupid, but I just can't use 4.4.4 while 5.0.1 exists! I always want the latest software even if it's actually worse!

I know what you mean. I would like to have 5.0.1, but I am already satisfied with the current OS. I am not one of those people that buys a phone and never updates it either. I am just satisfied so far and will keep checking for updates every now and then.
A friend bought a Note 4 last week from amhaz, it's not 905c but 905G, it's exynos or snapdragon?

I hope you mean 910G, otherwise he should return it immediately. 910G is Snapdragon. It's the one I have and apparently it's one of the last models to receive updates.
I told him the logo 4G+ at the back smells fishy!
He told me it takes 2mins for the network to open after rebooting.
Amhaz brought these models from Europe perhaps because euro is low now.
Well the only advantage is that he can flash cyanogen roms

Don't worry, mine says 4G+ on the back as well. Maybe his region is just bad or his SIM is damaged. Mine works well and is definitely original.

Guys!

I'm thinking about moving from my note 4 to the g4!
Did anyone of you do that jump? Is it wise? Any feedback?
@LifeEngineer

Go for the Exchange I have been using the G4 for about 3 months now , used the Note 4 for one month and the Note 5 , LG 4 all the way.

What about those touchscreen issues?
Missed touches and swipes interpreted as touches etc..

What about battery life? Which is better in you opinion?
