Anyone heard about the Roccat hardware ? Seems pretty professional:

Die_Kapitan
Roccat is high quality, the Roccat Kone XTD is one of the best mice on the market.

I know someone who sells them in Lebanon and I am hesitating between:
-
Savu
-
Kone
-
Corsair M65
Die_Kapitan
I'd get the Kone, the M65 is too FPS-y, it has a sniper button but the Kone is a great jack of all trades.

surprisingly i didn't see anyone talking about the Tyon !
check out this BadAss piece of art !

OP doesn't want a lot of buttons and that's the thing that Tyon has the most. It's sexy as hell though.

it looked really interesting to me so i read some reviews about it and reviewers said that the buttons are well placed so that if you dont really need to access them you might not notice them if you are not looking at the mouse itself !

Let's suppose I decide to get the "Roccat Kone Pure" (value around 69 USD) from Amazon or Newegg via Aramex's Shop and Ship. How much do you think it would cost (V.A.T. + shipping fees + custom duty, etc...) ?
NAM
So i found the logitech g502 at a place called spotnet in hamra and they also have racing chairs "their next batch comes next month for 350$ a piece" .. they also have gigabyte m9.
As for the prices it is triple what anything costs on amazon. so be prepared.

Wow i have been searching for racing chairs (AKRacing), its cool that a store thought about that, but the usual prices in Lebanon (x 3), too bad, thanks for the info NAM.

Well this was my first (and probably the last online shopping experience) for many reasons:
1- First, I checked the Roccat Kone Pure on Amazon (new and sold by Amazon themselves) and it started 61.99 USD.
2- When I went through all the steps (credit card info, etc.. all the way to "confirm order" they charged me a 5.5 USD tax) ... The total was 67.49 USD fine enough as I was able to see that before confirming the order. I still pressed the button.
3- Amazon states that the shipping weight for this product is 12 ounces (use google to convert to grams and you will get 340 grams). So, since Aramex (Shop and Ship) charges you 11 USD for the first 1/2 kg... The total was now 67.49 USD + 11 USD = 78.49 USD.
4- I placed the shipment on Monday night (Lebanon time) and I selected "Free Shipping". The mouse arrived to my New York Aramex box on Thursday night. Then, to my surprise, as I was checking my shop and ship account today... Aramex charged my for 19.6 USD (saying the total weight of the mouse was 998.6grams. They would have even charged more if it had been above 1kg (I was lucky here).
5- I am now at 87.09 USD total and I haven't yet even paid the airport V.A.T. + custom charges (which according to an Aramex representative might amount to 20USD or more as the Customs officer can say the mouse is valued at 100 USD and the fees are 20% of that.)
6- So in total I will end up paying 107 USD (if not more.. although I hope not)... for getting the mouse to Lebanon.
All in all, not a very pleasant experience.

The Logitech Performance MX is a pretty decent mouse, good for gaming.
tech-guru
@DG 107USD for a mouse that is pretty high ... Although a lot of options exist in the Lebanese market with a local warranty ..

i own a bloody V5 since 2 years and it's a great mouse, market price is 30$ or a bit more, but it offers all the bells and whistles of expensive mice 68ips 3200cpi 30G 1000Hz 1ms response time(specs aren't fake the chip is the 3055DK) it has proprietary lens system basically no hole for the lens so no cleaning required, it has i think 160k memory for macros and stuff and comes with extra pads, nerdy stickers, cleaning stuff and a beast software that is guaranteed to keep you lost in all options for hours lol..in the 2 years of really heavy use from gaming, to working. everything i do is with this mouse and i am still surprised that it didn't wear or have any scratches after couple thousand hours of use it is still new, and it's accuracy and performance are great.
just for comparison the Roccat Kone Pure has the ADNS3090 which is a good chip but not the best, the specs are slightly lower in some places than my 30$ mouse 60ips and 20G acceleration and it offers 3600cpi which on the roccat website is marketed as 4000cpi, why not increase 400cpi via software and get some more cash sounds great...anyway i really recommend the Bloody series in general they are solid cheap gaming mice.
