Pcandparts has nothing between i5-4460 and i5-4690K
I am searching for a good i5 4670.
Republic of gamers is way too expensive.
Any good places for CPUs?
Btw when i5 5th gen will be here?
keep in mind 5th gen need a new socket= new mother board and ddr4 rams
if you r looking for a gaming cpu 4430 is gd enough that's what im using anw
I can get you a 4440 if you want. PM me.

Weird, they have i5s listed on their website. Did they confirm that they have no stock?
No I just want a good durable i5 like 4670 but they have either the 4460 or 4690k

Nope, Broadwell uses LGA 1150 and DDR3 RAM but you need to get a Z97 or H97 for the CPU to work.
Alright, I'll check on it on Monday and let you know.
Update. Not available.

Check Macrotronics.
Damn country, they bring the low entry level or the most expensive one, never something in the middle
If available in Lebanon, the 4690 will be just 10-15$ cheaper than the 4690K, and nearly 30-35$ more expensive than the 4460, 30-35$ for so little isn't justifiable, if you do find it justifiable, pay 10-15$ and get a friggin' 4690K.
After the FX-6300 and the Pentium G3258, the 4460 has the best price for performance ratio.
There is 65$ difference between 4460 and 4690k, a 4670 would have cost right in the middle meaning 30$ more than 4460, then yes it would have been logic to pay the extra 30$ and gain another year of performance, but 65$ is different.
I prefer to pay an extra 20-30$ more on a MSI Gaming Mobo Z97 than a ''normal'' one too to get the extra OC capabilities and stuff like audio spdif, so if you end up paying 65$ more on CPU,and on RAM and on mobo you will pay nearly 200$ more ;)
But if you get a 4690 you won't be able to overclock, which is why most people get Z97 boards. As for the price, the 4690 is not in the middle, that would be the 4590, plus the difference between the 4690 and the 4460 is 0.3 GHz and between the 4690 and the 4590, 0.2 GHz.
The 4460 is the best choice for the money. I would get that + a decent H87 board if you're not planning to overclock (Which I'm assuming you're not, since you're not getting an unlocked CPU)

What are the unlocked i5 CPUs?
I never OC a CPU but the next one I will when it will begin to be old
the K version of intel CPUs are the "unlocked" CPUs that you can overclock on a Z chipset board.

Pretty much sums it up.
So as I stated before an i5 4670k would be perfect price/performance/oc
I got the i5-4440, stock cooler is shit, makes a winey noise starting at 45% it's max RPM. I'm looking for a new cooler so that I could throw this one out.
Thermaltake CPU fans are cheap but take one from the ''silent'' series
They Contact series are pretty silent. Since the heatsink is massive, the fans don't need to run at high-speed too often.
