G SYNC 144 HZ Monitors Are Awesome even on 1440p ; the G SYN From NVidia will minimize tearing and shuttering a lot ; but sadly you will not find one even ROG Store in Lebanon tells you it is out of stock. Best option is to order one from outside.

very hot screen but colors are extremely bad
The color is good for a TN (Twisted Nematic) but is still disappointing nonetheless.

Can you please tell us if you found anything useful in the end? Any BenQ resellers here in Lebanon? And I would like to know your opinion on the LG 24MP55HQ, I am considering buying one from PcAndParts.
@themike10452

LG 24MP55HQ - Is a Budget 1080p IPS 60Hz Led Monitor - I recommend it if you do not want to spend above USD 200 for a monitor.

@TheSavior111

I do not think it is worth to have a 144hz Monitor for 1080p Gaming using a GTX 760 , playing recent title will be barely cross the 30-40Fps on a GTX 760 on 1080p.

For the hunt of a 144hz too,

Called Sistechnology, they are out of stock, and they Were selling the "BenQ XL2430T 24 inch Gaming Monitor with 144Hz " for 550$
they will restock in a month.

Any suggestions where to ask?
I managed to buy my BenQ XL2420Z from Macrotronics in Ghazir, Jounieh (google the name, they have a good website) you can also look in GCS store also google their name and the number is included in the website. Try CompuWorld and Pcandparts too. Last case scenario is Spotnet in Hamra but they are extremely overpriced (550-580$)
*** luck,

Macrotronics out of stock, they have the 27"
PC and parts out of stock
GCS out of stock
SisTechnology (Wakil) Out of stock...

Oh and by the way, shipping calculator on BorderLinx estimated shipping costs around 200$ (without customs)

ahh well, I have 980ti and i can barely cap 120 FPS on battlefront lol.

for CS:GO you would be good to go... but consider getting the 980 at least before the screen. just my 0.02
@ironman

Stick with the 970 , overclock the core by +200mhz and the Memory by +500mhz and without touching the core voltage - you will have a nice boost in performance on 1080p which almost in par to a 980 performance - Thanks to Maxwell efficiently in heat dissipation and power usage , assuming you are using a good PSU and good case with with a good air circulation.

Note: Bring Like the MSI Gaming (non reference cooling , the reference is great but not as the Twin Frozr V )

Note:

If you are aiming to play more than 60 Fps on 1080p with Ultra Setting / 2-4x Msaa to cap a 100 fps on a 144hz Monitor , and with recent Titles seem to be demanding (Like Assassin Creed Syndicate) and more trend will increase with the release of more AAA Titles in 2016 , I am skeptical that a single 970 or a 980 will achieve more than 60Fps experience, even on 1080p, you will need at least a 980Ti.

Sure this rule does not apply on technically none demanding shooters/games.

From my experience too , an opinion: I rather play 1440p/60fps compared to 1080p/144fps "if attainable", since in almost most games you will not spot a major difference between 60fps and 120fps , the story differs if the monitor has GSync.

If your goal is fps games go for the 144hz much smoother im playing rainbow 6 siege i can get a 120fps on my 970 without oc i just boost the fan speed
For 2k i doubt ull even get 60 fps in most games on ultra
I cant get 60 fps if i scale my resolution to 2k
120fps for Siege on 1080p , what are you setting and AA technique being used. Is much more demanding "graphically" compared to CSGO. Download the Ultra HD texture pack , and see how the 970 suffers :) , 970 days on on the borderline , a Pascal update is recoomened next year.
TheSavior111 wroteHow and where can I do that from exactly?

The better sites on the internet all require PayPal which is banned in Lebanon or require a hassle with linking your CC to an external website that generates a virtual card which you can add funds to, assuming I have access to a credit card, which I don't. And I dont have any relatives outside Lebanon that can get me parts with them. Oh and dont get me started on AliExpress.

Besides I dont want a 120/144 Hz monitor for the image quality, or else I would have bought a 1440p screen ages ago. I only want it due to the low input lag and higher refresh rate which gives me a bigger competitive edge in Counter Strike,thats the point of this thread. My current GTX 760 is more than capable at maintaining 300 FPS on CSGO, so all I need is a good monitor to show me 144 of these frames instead of 60. So I just want a nice cool place in Lebanon where I can walk in with some money and out with a brand new 144 Hz GTG 1 ms response time screen :)
Shipping monitors here is a huge pain in the ass, i think the whole process is an extra 150$, but for small things that are like 7 pounds and have okay form factors i think borderlynx ship for cheap enough. And check entropay, you can make a virtual visa that is recharged by any card and can be used for any country (so u can make a paypal account and link it to the visa). So for example shipping a gpu would be a mere 30$ in total, but a whole chassis is an extra 200$

true but while playing fps you don't need to download more graphic content the game already looks so good and you wont notice difference while playing
games are evolving so fast compared to gpus look at upcoming 2016-2017 games you ll see how hard it will be for our cards to keep up and keep in mind 970 is a high end 400+$ card
