I am playing my PC games on my 40'' 3DTV samsung on HDMI.
Honestly it's better than on a monitor,it's like having a PS4 with Nvidia GPU, using DSR 2K is even better, can't wait to get a 970 to have every single game on 2K DSR
If i travel with a 970 in my bag will i pay anything on customs in lebanon?
Totally in for one or two of these. What do you guys think of 2 x gtx 970 Vs a single gtx 980?

And in the meantime have to think of what do with my almost used 2 Vapor X 7950 's, any interested buyer out here?

Best,
Ed

I always preffered single gpu system.
First of all you will have less power consumption and also less heat produced inside your case. Also a GTX980 can max out anygame now, and later on you can sli it normally.

When I travelled from Brazil to Lebanon, I had a full rig inside my bag, CPU, motherboard, Power Supply, GPU, they did not even open my bags :p
You have 1 chance over 10 that the amn el 3am dude stop you to check your bag and even you can always claim you bought it 2nd hand (try to make the box a little used).
Worst case you can throw away the box before goign to the airport and put the GPU in a bubble paper ;)
Guys, if anyone will travel or Is already in a travel.
And has the ability to bring a second GPU with them, please do announce it in the forum.
I am sure the forum members will Gladly pay you a small fee for your trouble instead of feeding them to customs!

Thanks.
Got the Gigabyte GTX970 G1 Gaming delivered today to borderlinx , and after an hour it was on borderlinx website and got it released for shipping.
@ramnesia please tell us when you will get it how much did you pay for the customs and delivery fees

Don't throw any thing, just break the seal of the box.

What about cost vs performance though?

The 9xx series is here to stay a couple of months but the next series could bring (or not) 4K (DSR for 1080p users) to higher limits like using for example Crysis 3 and Evil Within with everything on Ultra and with 60fps, thing even the 980 can't do unless SLI it.
If you don't have a problem spending lot of $$ then get the 980 today and Sli it with another next year in case you are not happy or sell it and get a GTX 1080
4 days later
@Ramnesia
Did you get the card? I am still hesitating between asking my parents to bring it from France, Borderlinx or dot.com.lb
A Zotac 970 will cost me 415$ if from France (delivered to my parent's hotel by LDLC) or with Dot.com
I am still waiting, I got an email from DHL saying probably mid this week. And yesterday I got the nvidia promotion code from Amazon, i chose Far cry 4.

It's a nice offer but you still have to download 40GB if not more :)
It would have been nice to put the BR disk inside the box instead of download version
It is 30GB. Preloading it since midnight. 10GB downloaded so far.
Hello!
I am pretty much hesitating between getting my GTX 970 from US via dot.com.lb or deliver it to my parent's hotel in Paris.
The total price will be the same for both so I want to know if I can trust dot.com for the promised estimated time of arrival and state of the product on arrival?
can you please state the final price paid ? i'm very interested in a 970 and i am sure many here are too ... so if we find this a good deal maybe we can get multiple ones as a single package and everyone wins
Zotac GTX 970 all included at 410$
