Well IDM are not responsible here. Your best bet is that your reseller is a good person. Since you are accessing IDM over HIS access point. He can do whatever he wants. I had a reseller who made me pay 50$ for 512k 3 years ago from cyberia. Then one day he just started messing with the ping and forced it to a minimum of 300ms. Resellers man... What are you gonna do...

I can only have internet via microwave (sadly), until ogero does its job and start installing the boxes we've been waiting for since more than a year.
Btw I think I'm somehow in control over my reseller at least I know how to check my ip so I don't get tricked :P.

To update: They sent a guy yesterday and it turned out that my problem was from the router.

They should have sent him two weeks ago instead of wasting time with the "I'll open a case and we'll see what we can do".
Anyway everything is back to normal. No noticeable performance issue.

Overall, I am satisfied with my IDM subscription (for some years now), especially considering the quality of internet in Lebanon. And the free nightly consumption without FUP is a big plus. I don't play online anymore but when I did it was acceptable (they taught me how to put my PS3 in DMZ).

I've always been a limited plan user. Unlimited plan users, vow bad is it really? At how much consumption does FUP kick in? And if so, how slow does it get?

I had the same reaction. Maybe they include 3G ? Knowing that the most expensive 3G on Earth is quite popular and faster than DSL it would be reasonable.

I usually don't have any problem but recently the speeds are weird.
For instance, yesterday night the downloads did complete anyway which means that the speed went back to normal sometime during the night.

They probably remove the throttling at around 3AM. Some ISPs block udp trackers during certain periods too.

Customer support was surprised when I had full speed on torrents.
He asked me if torrent download speed were slow.
I assumed they throttle them...

Well I just tried now and I have full speed (even 110% for a few seconds)...
Weird.

Anyway let's hope the tech guys at IDM don't spy on us and throttle us. I'm sure they're good guys just enforcing rules. :D

for me FB is taking forever to open and sometimes it flat out not open....but it's just FB other sites like YT works perfectly fine.
