Hey guys is someone other than me getting a lot of packet loss lately?? I've been getting ping loss for 2 months now whenever testing my ping to European servers, the modem restarts randomly and I lose connection and downloads on ps4 get corrupted... I called IDM and got them to open a case and they replied that the problem is from Zouk central (I live in Zouk Mosbeh) and there is no problem whatsoever from my side since I thought maybe it's the modem.

If the modem restarts like all the lights turn of then start turning off again probably the modem
Fix: first if u have an old non dsl router connect them together and disable wifi from ur modem use the 2nd router
If that still doesnt work ull need to buy another dsl router

A typical answer from idm. They have been blaming the centrals all over the country for the past 2 years. They ll also tell you that it s getting fixed soon. Well soon seems 2 years +.
Anyone else experiencing slowdowns after 3-4pm?
By slowdown I mean:
- Facebook videos taking ages to load.
- Packet loss and lag even with kinda low ping (110-120 ms)
- Slow patching for online games ( 25 kB/s)
Not to mention slow streaming 24/24.
VPN seems to fix some problems.
@anthonyf96
yes, real ip should solve this. call them on 1282, and ask to be put in the real ip pool.

thank you. I will get a new one anyway. I have the old technicolor that comes for free from IDM. Any recommendations?? Im thinking maybe "TPLink TD-W8961ND" or "Cisco-Linksys X1000".

I asked for it a month ago and they told me that they dont do such things anymore because it s causing problems
yeh I been having a really bad internet (high lag / slow DL) the last 2 month and it's getting worst every day....so i called them and they opened a case for me, and they said that the line from Jounieh central need an upgrade.....so i guess that answer is just the Go To for any problem. -.-

Same here, what's worst is that they throttled me to 1 Mbps after opening the case, spent 2 month struggling to make them revert the bandwidth untill I told them to send someone over to see the problem, changed a wire, and they reverted back to 2 Mbps. And they keep telling "l centrale 3leya da8et sir"....

Does anyone have an idea about the period that IDM takes to provide the internet connection after sending the modem ?
its been more than 2 months since i subscribed to the service and they keep on telling me "within 10 to 15 days".
is their customer service like this all the time ? because I m starting not to like them.

When i applied they took 6-8 weeks to give me the router and the username+pass .. this period is for ogero to connect a new line .. more than that i think it might be IDM's fault (but it might be ogero .. i heard the employees have not been paid for 13 months now)
One of the Best ISP in Lebanon (IDM)

but hope they back to the unlimited night traffic without adding any charge on it

unless you are being sarcastic, IDM has not been the one of the best ISPs for a long time. horribly slow, high pings, unreliable.
their service is shitty at best, any one considering IDM should think twice.
Server Beirut, 53 ms, that's horrible
