Check the performance difference between the two and make your choice that way. Don't just take random votes.
Both the AMD and Intel CPU's have their advantages and disadvantages.
If you go AMD you'll be spending far less money than going Intel without losing much performance in games. However, by doing this, you will have more money to get a better GPU like a GTX780 or an R9 290. Which will provide you with better performance in games. The only reason you wouldn't want to go with a 8350 is that it's slower in terms of raw performance. But then again games these days don't need such performance. However, going with an 8350 will also result in more CPU bottleneck, sacrificing you 2 or 3 frames in CPU intensive games. (This is in case of the 8350 is put up against an i5 3570). The 8350 also uses more power than the Intel. And gives out more heat.
If you go Intel, you'll have more access to aftermarket parts in the Lebanese market, such as heat-sinks, motherboards etc. You will also have more raw performance, and a stock cooler that runs cooler and more silent than the AMD stock cooler. And it'll use less power. But, going with a platform that will cost you a $100 more is a waste. Games nowadays just don't need that much performance in terms of CPU power. In fact, some games actually run slower on an i7 then they do on an i5. Because of the hyper-threading in the i7. An i5 is basically an i7 without hyper-threading and costs $100 less.

Now let's talk future-proof!
DirectX12 is just around the corner, and from what I've heard you can benefit in having a faster CPU in your gaming rig to have more FPS. Because of the way it works. And 90% of people who upgrade their rigs entirely is because their CPU has become too obsolete and slow to handle new fast graphics cards (In other words, CPU bottleneck). The faster CPU these people had the later they upgraded their rig.
Given these 2 points I've mentioned above, I would go with the i7 if you can afford it. But if you want to go with a faster GPU and upgrade your CPU in like 4-5 years. Go with the 8350.
Also, side note: If you're new to advanced overclocking or hardware in general, I would definitely avoid getting such high end motherboards. Lots of people are having trouble setting up their rigs because of this. However, if you do get them, I'll be happy to help you set it up.
Sidenote #2: You do not need to get beast RAM for a gaming PC. The difference in a DDR3 RAM module running at 800MHz and 3600MHz is 0.07FPS. You also don't need more than 8GB of RAM. I dare you to open task manager on your current PC and see how much RAM you're using. Even 4GB is enough for games nowadays. The second reason I would get 8GB of RAM is because RAM sticks are currently very expensive.
Specs I would go:
4770K
Maximus Hero
2x 4GB Kingston HyperX Black 1600MHz CL9 1.5v
R9 290
Corsair 850W PSU
Corair Case
Crucial 120/256GB SSD
1/2TB HDD for games and storage.
BUY Windows and BUY your games. People work for hours to make these pieces of software to get money and feed their families. How would you like it if I just copied what you did and claimed it as my own?
Yes, Windows is $100 to buy, but you have to buy it every 10 years. Making it 1$ a year. YOU NEED THOSE SECURITY UPDATES!
Games, they'll be yours forever, you'll be in a community, you can enjoy the games online, you get updates, you get achievements and lots more.
Don't have a card? Not an excuse, get an internet card.
I think I'm done here :P Cheers!
