xerxes wroteany idea about how much does the living cost in Germany? are universities tuition free for english studies as well?
It's basically what you would be paying in Beirut, or maybe 10-20% more, especially if you go in the more expensive cities.
I stayed in Berlin for months. Estimate monthly basic (and probably minimum) expenses as such, in Euros:
Room: 300 E
Food: 200 E
Transport and other: 200 E
Note: it is somewhat difficult to find a room.
You could spare some money on the amount above if you use a bicycle, eat lots of potatoes, never go out or eat out, etc.
Other "richer" cities such as Frankfurt will be more expensive, but only marginally. Some smaller cities such as Leipzig will be cheaper.
Also, health insurance is mandatory, so try to get tourist insurance cover from there before coming, if possible. If you're a student or if you're employed there, you should be OK, but otherwise, you might find german health insurance to be unaffordable.
