i have one item shipped with yanwen 3 months ago. nothing yet and cannot trace with liban post site.
Another item arrived with chinapost. it's been sitting in customs since 29 january.
Luckily, i never order valuable items from ali express.
Yea , this is what you should put in your mind Guys.
Never order valuables from AliExpress. Your max spending Budget should be like 100$.
And even 100$ is too high and risky.
Because you do not know if you will actually get the item.
Now,lately, Post services like China Post registered, and Hong kong Post airmail etc...All of the items are arriving in lebanon much faster than before. (My last items were here in Lebanon not more than 10-15 days after the order)
But currently the problem is with the customs, as they are not releasing the items once they have it, they keep it stored.

So yea guys, always try not to buy High valuable items costing 100$+, and always check the reviews and number of orders from the seller.
Hi Avolio

Did you get your yanwen items?
I contacted libanpost about yanwen express they said it's regular mail and not traceable on their system and i should contact the distribution office of my area and ask them if there is any mail in my name or wait till they call me.
Ordered two mechanical pocket watches with a Note 4 cover, total was about 30-40$.
Singapore Post, I'm expecting it to ship within two weeks, any tips on what to expect?
@khanem no I didn't get the yanwen shipment yet.
And I have no idea where it is, if in Lebanon or not.
And I have extended the purchase protection dates twice already so far.

@johnaudi
If the sellers actually ship it (cause there's been a talk of Chinese new year and I don't know what)
Your items are most likely to come and arrive here for about 15 days.
Then the actual waiting time and gambling begins, when your item is with the customs.

I also ordered a raspberry pi model B+, customs are not a big issue as long as it's nothing higher than actual price.

Thanks avolio for your reply. We are in the same boat.

My item cost 5$ and it's stuck in customs since 29 of January. I think they are trying to discourage people from ordering from chinese sellers.
All my previous orders cleared customs in 2 days.
The raspberry pi model B+ has just been shipped, I'm really surprised, it has been shipped in less than 12 hours. Let's hope customs won't get it stuck for more than a month.

I currently have 3 items from Aliexpress and 1 from a Hong Kong company (2 singapore post, 1 HK post and 1 China mail) at the airport customs with one having arrived since Feb 3. In January i received 3 parcels, 2 from the US and one from Aliexpress (Singapore post) both only took a day to pass customs but it seems everything starting end Jan early Feb was stopped by Lebanese customs.

I called Libanpost and they said there is nothing they can do and i just have to wait :/ im thinking of going to the airport and "10,000 عل ماشي لكل واحد تيمشو" it's the only way to get things done in this country.

yeah i know. how else can they extort money for a 5-10$ item.....for them it's work for nothing.
Correct. The Chinese have their new year's holiday. Some are off work til the end of the month.
it could be an item have stayed in customs 3 months ago and not sorted yet to delivery ,is there someone with the same case ?
@Siji what is the website you are using to get items from the US?
Is there a way to cancel an order? I have ordered a Raspberry Pi Model B+, then 2 days later I purchased a Raspberry Pi 2.

My order has not been shipped yet, though I cannot find a way to cancel the order of the Raspberry Pi Model B+. Any help would be appreciated - and if it's not possible, that's fine.
You should be able to request a cancellation if the order is not yet shipped

Ah apparently I haven't looked under the Orders tab, silly me.

Thank you.

Amazon actually, i bought a bunch of stuff from there but you have to chose the seller that ships internationally for the item you want. It helps to chose a popular item that has multiple third party sellers.

Here are the details of what i purchased:

1. Victorinox swiss army knife (The small one that fits on a keychain) cost around 12$ and shipping via USPS priority (with tracking) from Florida 11$. This order took one day processing and 14 days shipping to get to my home via libanpost which charged no customs or TVA and surprisingly enough the knife went through customs with no problems admittedly it's only a 2cm blade.

2. Monoprice in ear earphones cost 11$ and shipping via regular mail (No tracking) for 4$. This order arrived in 13 days to my house from California.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B8QCMHY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

3. Comply foam tips for earphones (Which i recommend everyone to buy) cost 20$ and shipping via USPS priority (with tracking) from Ohio 12$. This order also arrived in 13 days.

http://www.amazon.com/Comply-Tx-400-Isolation-Earphone-Black/dp/B00354951S/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1424475434&sr=1-2&keywords=comply+tx400

Side note: Today i went to Virgin in ABC and was going to buy a 32GB micro SD card for 47$ and changed my mind when i saw that i could buy a newer and faster 64GB card on amazon for 33$ and pay 3$ shipping. What costs 14$ in the US is 50$ in Lebanon which is ridiculous.

I hope this helps, i also got a lot of stuff from aliexpress which i can tell you about if you want :).
I'm still waiting for some items I ordered since 11.11, the mega sale during which Lebanon was in the top three countries that had the most orders. It kind of explains the delay.

But what I don't understand is Liban Post tracking system. According to them, all of my items are received since December.
One of the items delivery date is last week while I received it today. This is the third time such thing happens.

Is anyone else having this problem?
@Siji thanks for the clarifications. Share the link of the memory card :)

I'm fed up with aliexpress I dont think its worth the wait anymore.

Maybe we should compile a list of websites that ship to lebanon and do not use paypal.
