LifeEngineer wrote3-Yes in this matter I agree with you.
7-From within quick remote press menu button (top right) and then select "Learn remote". I guess the rest will be a step by step procedure.
8- I am not a photography geek or experienced guy. I barely take photos in normal mode all the time.
b- I cannot see anything wrong with those 2 pics. It depends where the focus is. The paper is placed in a way that the nearest words are at the bottom of the paper and the far on top.
c-That's really sad. That thing has a OIS and should take much much better photos of moving objects.

I think yes software update to 4.4 should bring some improvements to the cam. 4.4.1 and 4.4.1 were only addressed to nexus 5 to improve its cam. So I think those are useless for us.

I dunno really what BIG improvements are for you but I've read that the focus speed has slightly improved, quality of pics and jpeg compression is minimized so better pictures, etc...
In the 2 XDA links that I sent you, you can read the changelogs of the modifications done to the cam.
Also I think there's an OTA update that you can make. Check it in settings/about.
I got it but I wasn't able to flash it since I was rooted.

As for battery I can say that it's amazing. It's even better than note 3 battery. Yes standby consumption is a bit high.
Android OS and Android system topping the consumption chart is NOT normal UNLESS you barely use your phone in a way that screen usage is very low.
I can get up to 4 or 5hrs screen on in a normal working day (3G) and up to 6 or even 7hrs screen on at my house (Wifi).
There's something probably eating your battery.
(Since you are not rooted I can only guess. Using "wakelock detector" or similar apps needs root access.)
Turn OFF google now if it's on, turn off locations if you don't really need it and also GPS, NFC, Bluetooth in case you don't really need them. Google now drinks battery.
Check if there's something always running in background.
For me it's always screen on top with around 40 to 60%.
7- But I cant do this unless I select the tv brand first and am not finding mine in the app’s list …

8- b) open the pic in full resolution on the pc and you will see what I mean

By big improvement, I mean really simple stuff such as for example being able to take a proper photo of a moving subject in indoor settings without blur! I tried to look for the OTA update but the phone told me this

Regarding the issue of waves appearing on the camera app, I tried a couple of 3rd party camera apps from the playstore and the problem also appeared in those apps. So it doesn’t seem to be a cam software problem. Then few hours later, I noticed that the problem suddenly disappeared! I really don’t know how it started and how it disappeared…

As for the battery, google now, locations, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, smart screen/videos are all turned off, brightness is fixed at 60%. The battery has been in use for 113 hours ( the count doesn’t restart every day cuz I don’t let it reach 90% and I start charging when it reaches 30%) including 20 hours of screen time (22% of total consumption).

I really hope so but to be honest I never believe such bullshit!

LG Lebanon knows nothing about updates and stuff! They barely know their own products!

I called a week ago asking about LG Tone+ bluetooth headset and the worker was like Whatttt the hell is that?! Of course he didn't say that, and said instead that they don't have it!

With LG updates are a pain in the a$$!

HTC one and Samsung galaxy S4 both were announced before the G2 and both were running 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 respectively.
Now both have 4.4.2 while we're still on default software!

Camera Mod for the LG G2 No Longer Needs a Custom Recovery, Available as APK
Alexander Maxham | May 5, 2014 | 7 Replies

Before, you’d have to be rooted and flash the mod through recovery. But now the mod is available as an APK, so you are able to just install it like any other app, although you will need root as it will ask for Super User access. .
http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/05/camera-mod-lg-g2-longer-needs-custom-recovery-available-apk.html

So does it require root or not? if yes, i need a very safe way to root the G2 D802 on 4.4.2. kitkat and the i need a way to unroot it in order not to vgoid the warranty.

Your help is very much appreciated!

I am using on my G2 an old sim card that doesn't support 4G . I am seriously considering replacing the sim card with a newer one but i am afraid that the 4G would drain my battery compared to 3G.

Any feedback on this issue for the G2?
